A lovely day with friends!

We organised my mother’s birthday in this nice bed & breakfast. We invited some friends for lunch and spent a lovely day surrounded by nature. The location is amazing, 1h by train from Rome, close to Soratte Mountain, the landscape is hilly and green and the weather is not as hot as the capital. We had a very nice meal, all cooked by Francesco, the host of the mansion; he is a very good chef as well as a very nice person! He took us and our friend from the station (Sant’Oreste station) just 5 minutes by car to his house. He is a genuine, passionate person that left his flat in Rome city centre to go back to the countryside he was born in. He’s got his plants and his animals, so everything he prepares in his kitchen is made with natural ingredients. He has his oil, his vine, his honey, his grappa, his fruit! And everything tasted just amazing! We really enjoyed the experience and my mother’s friends were very happy about everything. I will definitely consider this place for a future celebration or just to escape the city for the weekend.

Excellent and very large rooms. Very Hospitable. Homemade Breakfast. Great family space. Beautiful landscape. Our host was kind and thoughtful. The town of Sant'Oreste was everything I could imagine the Italian countryside would be. After dealing with the hustle and bustle of Rome, this was a perfect relaxing end to my vacation!!! I would absolutely stay here again.

My vacation was a whirl wind of excitement and adventure. Upon arriving at Filippo's b+b we five were exhausted. His home was comfortable. He was very kind. We finally got the rest we needed. His cooking was amazing, fresh and of local ingredients. His own Honey. Apricots from his trees. He is quite a cook. The town of Sant Oreste was amazing in stunning views and ancient history, and Italian landscapes to die for. An artist dream come true. Cobble stone streets and structures dating back to Roman times. A fairy tail village.

The location is excellent. If you really want to experience some authentic Italian countryside and hospitality, this Bed and Breakfast is a must. The rooms, beds, and service are excellent. There are also many friendly animals too keep you company if you go outside, as well as great views and a wonderful countryside. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to relax before or after a stay in Rome. While you are there, take a look at the mountain-top village, Sant'Oreste and try some of the local places. All in all, it was a wonderful stay!
