Worst hotel ever stayed in!

Reviewed 4 september, 2022

Only 1 star as you cannot out zero stars! Having arrived early and being able to check in - wonderful! Having accessed the room - clean being the absolute best I can give! We paid £215 for this room, appreciative of high season, summer holidays, and a need for a hotel for a nearby family party we had little choice!! In the information booklet in the room - this clearly states £110 for the most expensive room(NOT FROM £110! It states £110!) No hot water was the first fun - we looked for someone to assist but gave up as we had to leave for party and so I showered when I arrived at families house! Little did we know when we returned to the hotel late/early hours around 1.30 we could not access the hotel - had been given no code, no key and NOT Told the hotel closed at a certain time! So we then we went on spend hour and half calling the hotel in a vain hope of gaining access as even our car keys were in our room so we were stood on a less than desirable street unable to access our “luxury £215” room I have emailed OYO 7 times, called numerous times to no avail!! Leaving a Bad review is something I never do - but in this time with families money being tight and cost of living increasing - I cannot see other families ripped off like this! When we came to leave at 10am(unusually early check out and given we had lost hours stood outside) no one was around once again to speak too or resolve this matter!

Beuatiful Hotel with beautiful staff

Reviewed 3 august, 2022

I stayed at the pier hotel with my two teenage daughters and my baby boy, from the moment we got there the owner michelle and manager becky welcomed us like family and treated me and my kids with such love and respect! Nothing was too much trouble, they both went far above and beyond to make us all feel. Comfortable and welcome! The whole hotel is decorated so well with such an lovely attention to detail, it was like a plush home from home. We stayed in the family suite which had a big bed and sofa bed with tv and chest of drawers in one room with our own bathroom and adjoining was the cutest little kods room 'captains quarters' with bunkbeds for the older two and the sweetest littlw pirate bed for my son, my kids were amazed at the room we had! All of the staff from the cleaners to the owner were lovely to us. Staff were always interacting with my kids and were more than happy for my son to toddle around so he wasnt cooped up in a buggy. The hotel itself is a stonethrow from the beach, pier and town centre so a perfect location. Breakfast was lovely every morning and the offering of a picnic basket for the beach at extra cost was a lovely touch! Me and my kids will definitely be back again to stay and will be happy to shout feom the rooftops how much we loved our stay!! Thank you all so much for making it so good xxx
