Convenient and Quiet
Opinión escrita el 2 de Agosto de 2021
This location worked perfectly for what we needed. We were visiting overnight to go to museums. It's located within walking distance of the Museum of Art, Museum of Natural History, and Botanical Garden. It was clear many of the guests were there to be patients or support people at the Cleveland Clinic, but that didn't affect us. The breakfast was solid (for COVID times), and the parking was convenient and an easy in and out. They had forgotten to put TP in our bathroom when we arrived, but a quick call and it arrived in five minutes. Room was very spacious and the beds comfortable. We were right by the elevator but heard nothing. Really liked how quiet it was and was quite surprised since it was a summer Saturday night.
One of worst experiences over my 2,000 nights with Marriott properties

As a Lifetime Titanium Elite member with Marriott and in their loyalty program for 40 years, I can honestly say that our three-night stay at the Residence Inn Cleveland University Circle/Medical Center has been one of the worst ever, with any hotel chain.
Their staff has an incredibly poor attitude, blaming everything on their lack of ability to schedule/hire people. Clearly, they don’t want to pay people and this is the best you’re going to get.
Their breakfast service consists of filling out a slip of paper and waiting 5-10 minutes for someone to deliver your request – even a simple cup of coffee.
There is no room cleaning (get it – COVID), but requesting anything from the front desk (towels, soap, etc.) and odd are it will not show up. If it does, expect at least a two hour wait.
We went down to their lounge on Saturday night for a drink and were told that the bartender went home sick…hence no lounge on Saturday night and no attempt to “figure it out.”
The kicker was trying to laundry. We are here visiting our son, who is relocating to Cleveland and staying at this property for 30 days. The “Residence Inn” brand prides itself on being a transition property for long-term stays. A load of laundry/drying costs $4.50 total (not the issue) and all quarters (the issue). Upon approaching the front desk and requesting change, we got a high-pitched cackle from someone who I think is a manager saying they do not do quarters. After a drive of 4 miles and two stops we were able to do laundry.
Hideous property and worse management. Incredibly poor experience.

Last-minute decision to stay near the Cleveland Clinic, we opted to stay at the Residence Inn. I cannot say enough good things about the accommodations and friendly staff. The property was very clean and well organized. The room was immaculate. We stayed in a suite with a refrigerator and kitchenette. It exceeded my expectations. The staff members, Stephanie, Disa, and CJ were exceptional in their customer service throughout our stay. There is a shuttle to the Cleveland Clinic. It was so convenient. There is also a free parking garage behind the hotel. We had several casual dining options within walking distance. Rite Aid is across the street. The suite had the basic kitchen dishes, pans, stovetop, apt size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and bistro set. We will definitely stay again.
Surprisingly dirty, not COVID ready

For a hotel across from Cleveland Clinic, one that caterers to the ill, this hotel is NOT the one to consider if cleanliness is a concern. Our bathroom had hair on the floor and shower walls and the kitchenette still had cracker crumbs in the sink. You could convince yourself this was oversight unless you looked at the hallway floors and lobby surfaces. Ew, just not clean. When requesting another room, we had to wait for 20 minutes to talk to an associate because another guest was complaining, as well. Save yourself the frustration if you care about your health. We left the hotel immediately.
Two blocks from Cleveland Clinic main entrance
Opinión escrita el 7 de Decembre de 2020
Just two blocks flat walking to the main entrance, this new hotel is perfect if you need to close by. Not much else in the vicinity but the Clinic has a Starbucks, Panera, and nice gift shop once you pass entry inspection and temperature checks.
I had a corner accessible room that was spacious, clean and quiet. Microwave, refrigerator, stove and dishwasher en suite. Breakfast was done in the lobby using a checklist provided to the desk and a bag with your items was given back to you. Worked great!
