Hampton has always been our go-to hotel brand, but this experience was beyond horrible. Trying to train new employees during a Friday and Saturday check-in rush did not go well AT ALL!! We had a large family reunion with infants, small children and elderly staying at this hotel. NO WATER by 8:30 PM. I'm not talking just no hot water, I'm saying empty pipes!! No offer to provide bottled water. We had to go to local Walmart to get cases of water for our families. And then next AM we went to Bob Evans and McDonald's for breakfast due to muddy water coming out of pipes. It was 24 hours later before bathing was possible. Not the first offer to adjust our bills or offer other compensation. And we were all Hilton Rewards members!! Hilton has not done as well as their competitor's coming back from Covid. Unified family decision never to stay here again!!

Being a Hilton Honors Diamond member, I've stayed at my share of Hampton Inns over the years. I always find them to be clean and comfortable. This property was clean and somewhat comfortable, and there were also definitely some opportunities in customer service/guest interaction.
When I arrived for check-in, there was no one at the front desk, but shortly thereafter, someone came from the back and checked me in. The check-in process was efficient, but not the least bit friendly. Throughout my stay, I noticed the same low level of guest interaction from most of the front desk staff, and there was never anyone at the front desk. Guests had to wait for whoever was working the front desk to notice a guest standing at the front desk from their video camera, and then go out to greet the guest. I'm always used to there being someone there to greet guests as they arrived/departed, but I did not see that happening at all at this property. The only interaction from the staff seemed to be coming from the housekeeping staff when you would see them throughout the property. Kudos to them for being personable!
The sleeping rooms appear to have done some updating recently with new carpeting and some new furnishings. The lobby areas have all been updated and are very inviting. Some of the linens definitely need replaced. The sheet on my bed seemed worn and as thin as tissue paper, and the blanket cover appeared to have seen better days.
The breakfast offerings were adequate; however, there didn't seem to be regular hours of operation for breakfast. One day is was open until 9 AM, and the other day it was closed by 8 AM. It appeared that the breakfast server was also doing double-duty in housekeeping. There was no signage for breakfast hours, which would have been nice, or receiving some information about it at check-in. Because of COVID, you could not serve yourself; you would tell the hostess what you wanted and they would package it up for you.
The fitness center seemed closed one day as a sign was posted on the door stating that the "Pool is closed due to mechanical issues". You need to enter the fitness center (I guess) to get to the pool....so my key wouldn't allow me to get into the fitness center. I was going to ask at the front desk, but there wasn't anyone there.
Overall, I guess I would say I was disappointed. I've been traveling during the pandemic, and this was probably the lowest level of service I've received in any hotel brand (Hilton, Marriott, IHG). This property met my basic needs expected of a hotel, but they didn't nothing to make me or their guests feel welcome. I probably won't stay here again when I come back into the Coldwater area.

Was in the area for a long awaited wedding reception. We were welcomed warmly when we arrived, the hotel was clean, the bed was very comfortable and we had easy access to the hotel from the venue we were at.

The jacuzzi tub had hair on the sides. The bathroom sink didnt drain. There where gnats coming from the shower drain. The lamp on the right side of the bed was broken and nearly hit me in the head. There was no breakfast or any accommodation. When tired to contact room service no one answered the phone or was at the desk.
Great tub. Great shower. Great bed?

Stayed here this last weekend while attending an event at Hillsdale. It is located conveniently off the highway (Rt. 69), but there is no road noise audible in the building. We stayed on the first floor, not my preference, but I wanted a jetted tub, so that's where they put us. The price was a little cher for 2 nights - $261.52 - but I enjoyed spending several hours in the tub and had great water pressure for the shower in the a.m. DOWNSIDE. There was only shampoo and body lotion in the bathroom, so (thank god!) I waited to shower till after the event because my hair went nuts without conditioner. My husband also said the bed was canted, but I always bring my own pillows so slept soundly. He had to kill a stink bug on the bedroom wall, but the whole exterior of the bldg. was thick with them, so that could just be a seasonal problem and we could have had the critter land on us and take a ride in. Summary - would stay at again. Better experience than our last stay at Red Roof (October 2020), where it was too noisy/dirty to sleep well.
