Expected Better From Hampton
Reviewed 10 August, 2021
We have been pretty faithful to the Hilton brand, but found this Hampton rather lacking. Some issues:
1. Ant infestation in our room, noticed an hr after ck in. We were given another room, but we had to schlep our belongings to other room on other side of bldg.
2. Biz center computer never worked for our entire stay.
3. Ice machine-gone. (See pict)
4. Had to request room service
5. Bkfst was rather spartan.
6. Rooms have the 'short bowl' toilets.
7. Bathtub/shower very narrow, hard to turn around.
8. Hot water in lobby was luke warm at best on a Sunday eve. (For hot chocolate)
9. No microwave in room.
10. No laundry machines for guests. We were given a list of laundromats in vicinity.
11. No customary scratch pads or pen in room. (Covid was the excuse)
This place just didnt have the customary Hampton vibe to it. The staff people did seem very nice, just didnt have much to offer. Seemed like a bare bones operation.
Clean and Friendly

From making our reservation when I called direct to the friendliness of the staff, we were able to enjoy our stay. We had two grandsons and we all enjoyed the spacious pool and delicious hot breakfast. I would stay here again.
BEDBUGS (need I say more?)
Reviewed 26 June, 2021
First, Roslyn was very friendly, helpful and compassionate. She checked me in, and then asked me if my room was feather free (as I had requested with my reservation). Aside from her, the experience was the worst I've had in a US hotel. by far.
I woke up the first morning with an insect bite on my torso that was inflamed and itched. I was concerned, but thought/hoped it was a fluke. It was not. That evening, there was a bedbug on the wall, so I knew what had bitten me the night before, but again, hoped it was a fluke. NOPE - not a fluke. the next morning I awoke to multiple bites on my arms and legs. I informed the staff, who said a man who was standing there would check my room by pulling the bed apart, and checking everywhere else to see if there was any evidence of bedbugs. Additionally, they summarily dismissed the carcass of the bedbug as not a bedbug - the desk clerk said it was a fly because it had "wings". It was not a fly, it was a dead (partially smashed) bedbug, and bedbugs have wings (but do not fly). When I returned to my room that evening, it was very obvious that no one had inspected it, much less removed the mattress to look for bedbugs. Everyone, with exception of Roslyn, completely dismissed the possibility that there were (and still are, by the way) bedbugs in my room. I informed the whomever was at the desk every day the number of additional bites I had and where they were. I was offered a different room, but frankly, I didn't think that would help me much because certainly by that point I had bedbugs in my things, and would just be carrying them to another room.
When it was all said and done, I was bitten over 25 times, in 5 nights, and did, in fact, carry bedbugs home with me. I have traveled all over the world, including third world countries, and only had 1 experience that was worse than this. I have had other hotels comp or reduce charges or provide a gift of some type for far less egregious transgressions than this. I was offered/given nothing.
Would stay here again

Beautiful clean room and accommodating staff. Complimentary breakfast had a variety to choose from. Pool area was clean and enough lounge chairs for every guest that needed one. The best mattress and pillows which allowed for a very comfortable sleep. I would and will stay here again. Staff is very kind and helpful also.
