A dump in more ways than one

I checked in to find a glass half full of water and half full of cigarette butts in my room, and more cigarette butts on the floor. This is supposedly a non-smoking hotel. The room reeked of smoke. I called to the front desk to complain. They essentially said, "Meh." I complained in person the next day and was told I would get a partial refund. It never came. When I called them, they said I would have to get a refund from a online booking service that I didn't even use. Complete run-around.

Very clean and reasonable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The property was wonderful, right near Pike's Brewery, so we were able to walk from our room. There is a delicious Indian Food restaurant connected to the hotel. This hotel was perfectly located about Ten minutes from our Family Reunion in Black Forest. We recommend this location and look forward to coming back. We were there in June 2018, but that choice is not available.

I'm in Texas, my son and his girlfriend are in Colorado Springs. I booked a hotel through Hotwire (never again). I booked the room under my son's girlfriends name because my son has lost his ID. The room is paid in full for 1 week on my credit card. They checked into the room, the clerk asked for my son's ID, remember the room is booked under his girlfriends name. The clerk denies him entry because he does not have a valid ID. The room was NOT UNDER HIS NAME. My partner and I have been on many trips, NEVER have they asked for MY ID when it was booked under his name. It is 12:15 a.m. when they call me to tell me he won't be allowed to stay at the hotel. 15 minutes later one of the clerks finally calls the manager who approves my son's stay. As his girlfriend signs the paper work in big bold letters it says NO PETS. One of the main reason I chose this hotel. I have to call Hotwire, who tells me it shows pet friendly on their agreement. After another 10 minutes, by now it's 12:40 a.m. I'm on hold while Hotwire calls the hotel. The clerk, Dawn, tells Hotwire's Jen that they allow pets, there is a $25 pet fee. So I called my son and his GF to tell them to call the front desk and tell them they have a pet. It is now after 1:00 freaking AM on a TUESDAY morning. Evidently they will allow the dog, after I pay the fee. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER AGAIN. I will drive 100 miles out of my way to avoid staying at an Extended Stay and I will NEVER use Hotwire again.
A place to avoid

Extremely limited service. No hand towels. No dishes or silverware or pots or pans. No shampoo. Uncomfortable bed. Part time staff was courteous but very limited by owners rules. We will never stay there again if we can possibly avoid doing so.
Do not stay at this hotel!

First off, the front desk lady was extremely rude! I booked a room with a king size bed, and they gave me a room with only one queen bed. I have never even seen a room with only one queen bed! She was not apologetic and did not care if that inconvenienced us. Their breakfast only includes coffee, muffins, and granola bars. That's it. We will never stay at this hotel ever again!!
