I am a platinum lifetime member with Ritz/Marriott/Westin. Travel more than 150 nights per year. This stay was one of the worst in decades 1) took more that 5 minutes for anyone to be at the front desk to check in (around 8/30 pm). No service 2) was told restaurant and bar were open until 10pm. I arrived before 9pm and was told they were closed. I was told I could sit at a table at the bar (that was also closed) and they would help me. No one came to serve. In fact, I was treated as a nuisance since they were closed. 3) I finally convinced someone to serve me dinner to go to my room 4) I pre-ordered extra towels and foam pillows so I could forgoe room cleaning for 2 days. They confirmed when I checked in. Once I was in the room, all the pillows were feather and no extra pillows. The staff and service did not care. This was one of the worst and strangest experiences I have had at a Ritz or any world class resort. Simply horrible.
Great Apres Ski
I enjoyed a visit to the Ritz in Beavercreek. The hotel itself had a great vibe with skiers from the resort and others enjoying the run partaking in apres ski. The Ritz has a great set up outside at the base of the lift with a few outdoor bars and live music. I enjoyed a few meals at the restaurants and all of the food was fresh and delicious. I had a great massage in the spa. The relaxation room left a bit to be desired (low ceilings in a basement), so I didn’t stick around very long. Rooms were well-appointed. I had a view of the mountain, which was great to wake up to and look at in the afternoon. I would stay again when I return to Beavercreek
Incredible summer stay
Visited shortly after they reopened. Property was spotlessly clean and often saw associates wiping off door knobs, handles, etc. in public spaces. Felt very safe. Entire team was very friendly and engaged. Daniel the Concierge was helpful in finding and arranging for things to do. Johnny the valet always remembered my name and gave me pointers for driving around Avon and Vail. Valleria was gracious in making me coffee early in the morning and Sebastian at the Front Desk did the same and was very engaging in conversation. Heidi at WYLD served many good meals and was incredibly friendly. All in all a wonderful stay. Second time staying at this Ritz and it won't be the last.
What amazing customer service!
We recently spent a weekend at this beautiful hotel. Everything was perfect and all the staff were friendly and attentive. But the most amazing thing is that my son left a favorite stuffed animal in the room when we checked out. We called later that evening and not only did the staff find it right away but also arranged to personally deliver it to our house ( a few hours away) a few days later. We are very impressed and want to say thanks again! I might be spelling his name wrong but the gentleman who helped us was Bakar and he could not have been more pleasant.
A Needed Weekend Getaway!!
We decided to take a few days and escape the city. We found that the Ritz was open and we booked a few nights. We were excited to get out of town and stay at the Ritz, a property we have not stayed at before. This Ritz has only been open a few weeks from the Covid shutdown and the hotel and staff have done a great job reopening to keep the staff and guests safe, without sacrificing any of that Ritz service. We were met at our car by Brian, who grabbed our luggage and gave us a tour and info on the hotel, as this was our first time here. Inside we were checked in by Sebastian who worked diligently to find us the perfect room. The room was so clean and I felt very comfortable in the room and hotel. You could see the staff working extra hard to keep surfaces and touch points clean. There was hand sanitizer every where. Once in the room, which was an awesome upgrade from Sebastian, we met Andy with our luggage. Another great person that was happy we were there. He gave us more info on the hotel and had a bucket of ice delivered to the room, since the ice machines are not on. The lobby and patios are set up to keep everyone safe and the outside bar was a welcome spot to see and sit by. Grant poured some great drinks and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Wyld, the only restaurant currently open has done a great job utilizing the patio to accommodate as many people as they can with safe distance. They have new heaters that extend over every table for the perfect temp when dining with distance. Jeff, our server, was a joy. He was happy and did whatever he could to make our dinner awesome. Really appreciated having the opportunity to chat with him thru our dinner. Val and Heidi served us at breakfast and they were both so friendly and caring. The best part of this trip. We had our dog with us the entire time and she was welcome on the patio for dinner and breakfast. Only bummer of the trip was the limited service at the spa and the hot tubs being closed for social distancing. These little inconveniences didn’t even matter, it just meant we spent more time on the patio taking in the wonderful mountain setting. The people were incredible, can’t wait to go back. Thanks to everyone for giving us a few days of peace and serenity! Cheers
