Upon entering our room we discovered the ceiling light in the shower area was missing it's cover and exposed to moisture. There was obviously a chair missing from a big open area. We requested another room which turned out somewhat better. We shortly discovered the door card lock did not work properly. If we jerked the handle a certain way we could get it to function. The desk clerk was very inefficient and was poorly trained. He spoke very low and slouched around a chair in the lobby. We were glad to leave after 1 night stay.
Average to below average as expected

We stayed here as part of a wedding room block a few weeks ago. Given the options in the area, nothing really expected to be above average, etc. I will say most things were at best average (ie noise level close to busy road, beds not great but not awful, clean towels but very thin, basic toiletries, slow but acceptable front desk, etc..) EXCEPT we looked into the in room heating cooling unit....mistake. There were about 4 air fresheners shoved in to it and the grates were caked in a flaky white substance. Gross. Also, carpet on floor and vinyl/carpet moulding is extremely worn and needs to be replaced. Bathrooms very basic with the classic shower/toilet room and the sink-vanity being in the actual room.
To reiterate, you're not going to find much better options without driving a distance from Columbia City, but overall i'd put this hotel in the below average-poor experience. At least its cheap!
There is NO hot tub!
Reviewed 20 May, 2019
Although hotels dot com, choice dot com and trip advisor all say there is a hot tub at this location... be advised it was filled in and concreted over, two years ago. We made the mistake of booking this location for our stop after a ten hour drive, looking forward to the hot tub in order to get rest from a hard day. Nope. Not happening. And the manager claims he told hotels dot com, but they seem not to know. Don’t be fooled by photos. Always call ahead and verify EVERYTHING before you, too, get screwed.
Passing through and needed a room.

Not fancy but clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable. We had a tremendous rate by paying in advance. We were traveling through to another area and needed to make Columbia City our first overnight stop. This hotel is a great, affordable choice near shopping and restaurants and close to Warsaw and Ft. Wayne.
Friendly staff, quiet room

I recently spent a few nights at Quality Inn while visiting family. This was the perfect hotel for me -- close to my relatives, quiet, clean, and comfortable. The front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming. My room on the second floor was quiet and the bed was much more comfortable than I expected. While there isn't anything fancy about the place, it was clean. If all you need is a decent place to sleep while you're in town, Quality Inn fits the bill.
I did not try the breakfast or even look to see what was served. I also didn't use the pool, but when walking by the pool looked nice and well maintained, but small.
There were only two issues. The water pressure in the shower isn't that great, so even with very warm water I felt a little chilly in the shower. My first morning, housekeeping woke up me at 7:55 a.m. I certainly didn't expect them so early, so for the rest of my stay I simply used the Do Not Disturb sign.
