Okay

The hotel is clean. Parking is a small gravel lot short walking distance across street. Stayed on river side because of the nice view but the train switches from across the way are super loud. (I could deal with that) but EXCESSIVE noise from neighboring rooms & upstairs made for a long intolerable night. (The walls are super thin-I brought earplugs and could still hear the rooms next to and above).

This place was great, good breakfast, great view, walking paths. Im so glad I chose this place. I would DEFINATELY stay here again!!! great staff, pool was an added bonus. I loved how we were able to walk all around the park area next to the property, there was also a decent size store super close.

Our room was on the third floor, clean, comfortable, and facing the river. I opened the curtains early one morning to enjoy a lovely sunrise. While the train across the river can be a bit noisy, it added charm to the place - the comforting rumble of the cars, interrupted by the occasional squeak of brakes (I assume). Given that so much of the history of the area is directly connected to trains and the commerce they helped develop, it was all good. LOVED the bike trail near adjacent to the hotel and the tin signs that were clearly history projects done by Connellsville school kids. THANKS kids - well done and very informative! As I recall there were 3 train stations in the town (not presently being used). Connellsville looks like a town making a comeback and it's an ideal location from which to explore Western PA - in the middle of it all without the traffic. I look forward to returning.

Bicycle friendly

This clean and modern hotel is along the Great Allegheny Passage Trail. There's a bar for the evenings, and breakfast in the morning. My room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The owners converted a small meeting room into bike storage, and don't mind if you'd rather keep your bike in your room. Even if you didn't ride your bike to the hotel, you can rent bikes and kayaks. We wanted a shuttle and Cheryl and crew provided a ride for us and our bikes for a reasonable price. The hotel had everything we needed and we'll stay again.
