DISGUSTING!! STAY AWAY!!

This place is absolutely terrible. I'm in the process of relocating to the area and will need somewhere to stay periodically until I find a place, this is NOT it! The only thing clean about the room was the tub, but the shower curtain was filthy. The bed had 3 FLAT pillows on it. The comforter had many burn holes in it and had large spots that looked like grease. I pulled that back to discover the top of the sheet was covered with what looked like dark makeup smudges. The bottom sheet looked like it had grease stains. The toilet was not clean. There were pubic hairs on the seat and inside it looked like an inch of brown dirt at the bottom. The bathroom mirror had toothpaste splatter all over it. I walked across the hardwood floor twice and my feet were black. The tv wouldn't turn on, air conditioner barely worked and had a big hole in the front where the cover was missing. There wasn't even a chair in the room. This place is awful I will never return there again.
Probably one of the worst stays I have ever had at a hotel.

Where do I begin? For starters, when we first arrived, we were checked into a room that was absolutely filthy. The floors didn't appear to have been mopped, the walls were dirty, etc. Even worse, I noticed what appeared to be a dark stain on one of the bedspreads and upon closer inspection, discovered it was a wet dog urine stain...on the bed. The front desk agent didn't appear to be concerned at all that he checked me into a room with a wet urine stain on the bed and I was then checked into a second room that was at least cleaner, but definitely had its own issues. One of the beds had a comforter with burn holes in it and burn holes in the top sheet and both beds had pillows that were hard as rocks. We later discovered that the room's window was broken and incapable of being locked (thankfully, this room was located on the second floor), we found a random pill in the drawer of the nightstand and there was a sharp broken tile in the bathroom that I nearly cut my foot on in the middle of the night. People were screaming, slamming doors and running up and down the halls at all hours of the night and the common areas absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke (it hit you like a brick wall when you first walk on the building). Worst of all, my friend woke up the morning of check out with what appeared to be bedbug bites on his back. Honestly, it's definitely a hotel to avoid, if possible. There are better hotels in Akron offering similar rates.

Woke up with bug bites

Perhaps my most horrible stay anywhere ever. The room was non-smoking and our blanket had multiple cigarette burns in it. You can hear people in the hall, in the rooms next door, and walking above you. I was on the second floor (non-smoking). I asked for the third floor (thinking it would be quieter), and they said the third floor was the smoking floor. There was trash (paper and paper cups) on the stairs. The bathroom was filthy - black, curly hairs on the floor when we arrived. I wiped the bathroom counter off with a wash cloth and it was yellow (nicotine? other?). The mirror was covered in fingerprints. I woke up with bites on my right hand, right wrist, and right knee (room 217). Don't stay here!
You get what you pay for

We were desperate for a room late at night and got hooked up with this place by calling Choice Hotels. I reserved probably the last room in the area, and was a little nervous when I was told the rate was $56 per night.
I showed up about 2am and the front desk attendant was locked in his office behind bulletproof glass, another sign that maybe this isn't the hotel for us. The lobby itself and breakfast area was immaculate, I noticed that it smelled very fresh and clean in this area of the building.
We got our key and took our luggage inside another door, and we're immediately smacked in the face with musty odors, and considerable cigarette smoke odor as well. Our room was stifling hot and musty, and had a little window air conditioner unit that we cranked on full blast right away. The sheets in the beds were stained, and am guessing they weren't changed from the last occupants.
Smoke detector on the ceiling was obviously tampered with, makes you feel real safe when going to bed.
We got a couple hours of sleep, and we're happy to get out of that joint. This is a 1-2 star hotel, and you pay a 1-2 star price for it. We will not be going back.
