Nice hotel! Fantastic staff!
Returned from our stay at Hellinis at 2am this morning and I have to say the hotel is nice and the staff are so very friendly, every single one of them. We arrived quite late around 11.20pm and a lovely man checked us in and told us we could have a drink in the bar as it was open til 12 so we took our cases up to our rooms and went into the bar. The all inclusive finishes at 10pm but they gave us a free welcome drink which was nice. Then the man from reception came to tell us that as it was late and the restaurant was shut they had done us a packed lunch, we had bottles of water, sandwiches, fruit and cake, that was lovely of them. Our room was a nice size, the balcony was small though and the shower in the bathroom was the most smallest shower I’ve even seen and it’s got glass doors round it, it’s so hard to have a shower because once your in you literally cannot move. The shower head also doesn’t stay in the holder and kept falling. The doors don’t open very wide either and it’s a real struggle to get in especially if your not stick thin. I don’t think when they did those showers they thought of bigger people. This was the only thing I could fault though. The cleaners came everyday and we had clean towels everyday too. The bar was good, plenty of cocktails 🍹 and spirits, the only thing I can fault with the drinks is there wasn’t any Malibu or Baileys (their own version) but was my first time in Greece so maybe they don’t do their own? Mike the barman was such a lovely friendly guy and you can have a laugh with him. Thanks Mike. The Resturant is nice but again small, there’s a patio bit where you can sit or you can sit inside. The restaurant staff are all so lovely, friendly and cheerful. As it’s a small restaurant there wasn’t loads of choice but there was still a good selection and the food was nice, always hot and fresh too, not like other All Inclusive hotels where the food is just warm, we cannot complain at all about the food. The pool is a nice big pool and a lovely area around the pool with plenty of seating. However you don’t seem to get much sun on the pool area. Watch out for the mosquitos though. Omg I’ve never been bit so much, almost everyone had been bitten, not the hotels fault tho. There’s not much around the hotel but there’s a bus stop right outside the hotel and you can get the bus into Corfu for 1.70€ or you can walk and takes around half hour, but there’s no footpaths and the roads are one way. If you go out the front of the hotel and walk up the hill there’s a few good bars with fantastic views and you can watch the planes landing and taking off. If you follow the sign for the beach it’s less than 5 mins walk and it’s lovely down there too. You can go on a boat to Mouse Island or you can hire your own boat. There’s a beach bar and a monastery. Enjoyed our stay. For what we paid we was more than happy with the hotel. If your paying for a 3 star then don’t expect 5 star facilities and you won’t be disappointed. Thank you Hellinis for a lovely week.
Suppose to be a three star !more like a one star!
Rooms are basic no tea or coffee facilities, cannot hire a kettle. Stained patio curtains. Patio 2 foot wide, big cracks in patio floor. Shower-- can't turn around in , big holes in tiles around shower. Silver backing peeling off the back of the mirror. Room not cleaned daily, dust and full bins. The pool area is ok , sun loungers are tron and out dated with no cushions to lie on. food is reasonably and the staff are very friendly. But the worst part is the MOSQUITOES!!! thousands of them in every room! But of us covered in bits bigger than a ten pence piece! There is very little in the area aprt from the airport and planes flying most days. There is no beach near by. No day trips. Could be a very nice place if someone cared. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone who thinks it's a 3 star. Don't expect much, furniture out dated and ripped beds are like bricks. I travel a lot and this the worse place I have ever stayed.
Great value
Before anyone criticises this place please remember what you have paid! The rooms are basic and the shower cubicle is really small. But the hotel is lovely and the staff are great especially Mike the bar man, but everyone is very helpful and nice. Food and restaurant are fine and plentiful. Always plenty of choice and warm unlike some all inclusives where it can be cold. Lovely big pool and plenty of sunbeds and sitting areas. Lovely beach cove 10 minutes walk, and amazing views if you walk 10 minutes up the hill. Would return here without a doubt. Great value
Five star staff !!
the hotel is located a short walk from the beach ,which has a large partially enclosed area for safe swimming and is close to the bus stop which has a regular bus service that for e1.70 will take you to corfu town. the hotel has a magnificently large swimming pool that has plenty of sun beds so there is no need to get up in the middle of the night to reserve one with your towel . the whole area , including the hotel , is kept spotlessly clean and all the staff are well trained regarding the covid regulations. there was always an excellent variety of hot meals every day , all superbly cooked , plus of course desserts , salads and wonderful greek fruit -- once again the staff had things well organised and any queueing was minimal. we are not expert "drinkers" but we really enjoyed the beer , soft drinks and fresh coffee. finally "the icing on the cake" is the staff ,who work so very hard as a friendly team and do everything they can to please the guests . one last mention is that i accidently cut my head at the hotel and the reception ladies attended to me as good as any hospital -- thankyou.
