Dallas Quilt Show
Planned to spend a few days at the Dallas quilt show. Arrived late for check it. Reception staff was very friendly. Due to coronavirus outbreak the show was cancelled. We enjoyed a drink at the bar the bartender was awesome.
Good hotel but $25 a day surcharge
Only upon checkin, after it was too later to cancel without penalty, we were told that there was a $25 per day mandatory charge for the privilege of staying at the hotel. We were offered nothing that was not normally included in a hotel room, and nothing that was not in the description of the hotel. I searched the Internet for any mention of a $25 daily charge including on Hilton’s own site without success. This was pure extortion. The hotel as everything I expected from a Doubletree, and the rooms, service, bar, restaurant were all excellent. I chose this hotel on price for the quality, so adding an additional $100 at checkin for nothing was a huge disappointment.
paper thin walls
I had a room near the fitness center and woke up to people working out. On the other side of me, guests were having a normal conversation and you would have thought they were in the same room. No sound reduction
This doubletree has the best breakfast and rooms are comfortable. I have been staying at this location for the past 8 years and it is consistently an enjoyable experience . I always recommend this location to my colleagues.
Couples get away
Won't go back, a.c. didn't work, staff didn't resolve it, didn't switch our rooms, 2 days of not knowing status of repairs, beds were not comfortable, it's gone down hill since our last stay, staff didn't care of issues
