Very Good Place to Stay
Reviewed 7 September, 2021
I have stayed in a few hotels over the last three years that I WON'T ever stay at again because of a Dirty Filthy room BUT this Hotel was Very Clean, Friendly and a Pleasure to stay for the night. Thanks for that. Hope to stay there again soon.

motel is doing remodeling - no pool or fitness room. Sparce breakfast items. Rooms are decent and quiet. Staff members are friendly, knowledgable and efficient. would be nice to have some fresh fruit at breakfast
Under construction with a Green Pool

Pass on this hotel until they get all construction completed. The staff was nice, breakfast was lacking.
I was not notified after booking of the hotel being remodeled. And if you plan on using the pool call ahead and make sure that it is not GREEN.

Upon arrival didn’t know that the hotel was being remodel, so a lot of dust and debris.
Breakfast was sad, not a lot of variety. Price was not worth the Value. Booked online did say anything about hotel being remodeled.
The Worst Place

We stayed here 10-12 May 2021. PROs ~ The Staff were the absolute BEST!! The Manager, Rashaunda (?), Reception, Katelyn, and the Breakfast Bar Manager, Miss Gracie went above and beyond for their guests.
CONs ~ Allow me to start by saying when I made my reservations directly with this hotel I WAS NOT told they were undergoing renovations. When we arrived there was "some" construction on the first floor, and even more on the third floor where our room was. We were given our room key in a cut envelope and I had to write the specifics for the tv down off a sheet of paper posted on the desk. The 3rd floor, one end was clear of debris, furniture, plastic. The other end, not so much. This was the end closest to our door!!! Room furniture, mattresses, miscellaneous items, worker's tools all in the hallway, essentially blocking the closest Exit to us. This was all on Monday, our first day. Tuesday was even worse. They started at 0800 pounding, moving even more furniture, constantly using the single available elevator to move old carpet, trash, etc. We had brought our 2 dogs with us and one suffers from anxiety and this certainly did not help. In taking them down the stairs to go outside, we discovered the workers had begun COMPLETE RENOVATION of the 1st floor. This included removing all the tile with loud machinery, dust, the closing of not only the breakfast bar but also the laundry room and fitness room. I went down and spoke with the Manager. She was extremely apologetic and understanding to my concerns and offered a refund. That's was nice, BUT this staff was not afforded ear protection for the noise they were forced to work in. Went to my sister's on Wednesday afternoon (the whole and only reason we were in Decatur). Came back to the hotel around 7:30pm and our room key didn't work. Went down to the reception desk and was informed we needed to leave IMMEDIATELY!! IMMEDIATELY!! Whoa, WHAT??? They City of Decatur had issued a STOP WORK ORDER!! Seems the owner, one Tony Patel, had not secured the proper permits to do all the "improvements/renovations" he had started!! Thankfully, we were able to secure a room at the Baymont in town to spend our last night before heading home to Wichita.
hold responsible for this is the OWNER, TONY PATEL!!
