Too hot to sleep. Better for fall & early spring visiting

Beware! This historic building does not have central air. We were there with temps in the 90s. The bedrooms have window unit air conditioning however they are too small to cool the room for comfortable sleeping. The first floor was 82° & stuffy one morning at 7am. I recommend eating breakfast outside in the courtyard. There was some confusion about breakfast service, some brochures said 7:30 others 8. Breakfast was always delicious but only eggs cooked 3 ways. No other options were available.
The Handel room doesn't get very dark, more like twilight, due to lights in the Walgreens parking lot.
The staff was lovely. The maintenance is lacking due to an absentee landlord.
Excellent Denver experience

My wife and I took a bit of a chance here, but what a GREAT place to stay! Two day stay hosted by Patty and Mary Bridgette- they were so attentive and kind. And the the Garagio was pretty awesome. Plus the best breakfasts - with a terrific location in a safe neighborhood. We will be back!
No longer 420 Friendly

This is a lovely bnb in a gorgeous old home. I have visited three times over the last four years and loved it. Unfortunately this year brought changes for visitors looking to celebrate some of the world’s best cannabis products in Denver. When I made my reservation I was assured that although the Adagio was under new management, all services were the same, except that cannabis consumption was no longer allowed in the front room (which previously had been the social gathering area).
Curated, substantial snacks are no longer served at 4:20pm.
Consumption of cannabis is not permitted anywhere in the house, nor on the patio nor in the garden area, as the city “does not permit consumption of alcohol and cannabis in the same area.”
You will be enjoying your cannabis inside a garage that looks like a fraternity lounge, which you will share with cigarette smokers. Make yourself comfortable with a couple of old chairs on some dirty rugs, an old table or two, and a few smoking implements. Nothing like the wide selection of cared for, clean bongs and pipes that used to be available in a beautiful room. Just a random assortment of dirty broken glass pipes and things left by previous guests. Altho the house is clean, the garage is not. You will contemplate a window too filthy to see through, as well as piles of garbage, gardening chemicals, old recycling and lots of other detrius. Of course the smell of old cigarettes permeates all.
The current staff is unfamiliar with cannabis culture.
Food is fine, staff is caring, house is clean and lovely.
Had I known that 420 conditions had changes so radically I would not have booked the stay. I called to check on my initial reservation after I realized management had changed; management made no effort to contact clients when management made significant changes in policies. Current management will say changes were legally required and that bad staff, no longer at the bnb, miscommunicated. I think the current management want to continue benefiting from the excellent reputation the Adagio had as a 420 friendly lodging - while no longer providing those services.
A Must Stay

Best thing I ever did was book the Adagio! Great service and total privacy. Food is awesome as are the staff! I will probably never stay at another Hotel or Motel in Denver! Just an amazing and peaceful property and location.
420 Friendly Comfort

We stayed in the Holst Room. Beautiful high ceilings, large (oversized, king?, the biggest bed I've ever slept on). The staff was super friendly! Nice outdoor, 420 friendly, patio and hot tub. Close to lots of dispensaries. We will return!
