Absolutely loved our stay at The Maven. Hotel room was spacious and bed really comfortable. There is a really cool alley just off the front desk and lots of cool little shops and restaurants. Also close walking distance to Coors Field and Union Station.
Stay somewhere else!

First, the hotel name was difficult to see, so it took us awhile, walking from a nearby parking garage, to locate it. We had no normal chairs in room 712--only a low-slung hammock and a wobbly barstool. We asked for another chair, and they brought us something out of the 50's... I fell over backwards when I sat in it. The TV was perpendicular to the bed, so there was no way to comfortably watch it. They only provided one bath towel; I will say they were pretty quick about bringing the requested extra towels. The balcony was too small to use, and there was no chair on it. In the morning, while we waited for our bus in the lobby, we noticed the coffee table was filthy. It was difficult to order food...you had to scan the QR code on your key folder...no cash accepted. This was one of the worst hotel stays I've ever experienced.
My worst hotel experience—loud, unclean and slow.

I travel a lot and this is probably the worst experience I’ve had with a hotel.
1. The stay got off to a bad start. The room wasn’t ready at the 4 check in time. In fact, it was 90 minutes late.
2. There was food all over the floor of the elevator lobby on my floor. In general, the hotel didn’t seem very clean. More gross than unsafe, but it does plant the seed of doubt in your mind.
3. Those were minor hassles compared to the larger issue. We were put in room 216 which sits above their bar area on the first floor. Starting about 11:30 the music was cranked up to the point that it felt like the party was actually in my room. When I went down to discuss it with the front desk, I was told the following: “ 1. That it would stop at 2:00 am, 2. That I should have expected this downtown on a Saturday night, and 3. Would I like earplugs?” I think they plan to comp my room after I complained (but not confirmed), but staying awake from 11:30 to 2:00 when I had to get up (at 3:45) for a 6:00 am flight was a really poor customer experience.
The Frame is Too Big for the Picture

We were assigned a huge king bedroom at the Maven. As it turned out, it was all for show. There was little in the way of drawer or closet space. The bathroom too was problematic especially the sliding “barn” door, the latest in hotel gimmickry. I have written many reviews and as much as I would like to recommend this conveniently located contemporary hotel, I can’t find a lot to recommend it other than location.
The place to stay.

OK, it was $200 per night, but in that section most hotels are more. The service was special and having the milk market next door was a definite plus. you get discounts It ended up to be a really fun time. Great location.
