Great spot. Don't hesitate!

I picked this spot because I felt like it would be a convenient spot to hunker down before our Mt Olympus hike. The hotel is situated just off the water. There is a 2 lane road and unused railroad track between the hotel and water, but it is very close.
The man and woman who run the hotel are very nice and accommodating. They are in the middle of renovating, so some rooms are dated and some rooms are nice and new. For an additional $30/night, we opted for the newer room with a view of the beach and the castle. I’m a sucker for castles.
We enjoyed our stay and everything went off without a hitch. We had dinner at the hotel once, and it was good. Breakfast is also good, nothing amazing, but enjoyable.
The water at the beach is a stunning clear blue. It is a rock beach. God, I LOVE rock beaches. My kids hate rock beaches. They like sand, which is what I despise. But they still had a great time. If you have kids, get them some water shoes and they will enjoy themselves.
Geographically, I enjoyed this spot. Wasn’t too busy, and wasn’t too far from Litochoro/Prionia trail head. Also, just a few hundred yards south is a nice “boardwalk” with stores and restaurants.
I recommend this place and would definitely stay there again. Check it out, it’s a great spot.
I posted a vid on my YT channel. Search for MrJustinWheeler and the Wheelers in Europe vid.

This is a really great place to stay for a nice relaxing vacation. Right across the sea with excellent views and being able to hear the wave sounds during the night!!! It is a very quiet place and you can walk to the nearby town (Platamonas). This is just a ten minutes walk on your right going out of the hotel. If you want a different experience with music and more people you just have to walk 15-20 minutes going out of the hotel on your left. This walking is great along the old and currently unused train rails. You will reach a tunnel after 7 minutes of walk and then when you cross it you will be arriving in Gallaria, a nice beachside cafe. The hotel staff is very helpful and most accommodating!!! You should not miss this stay!!

Been here 2 weeks ago. The spot is 10 minutes from the busy Platamonas main street and has a wonderful seaview from its terrace and also glimpses at the nearby Castle. The room was nice and tidy , of decent size, and the bonus of having a safe. We also chose to have breakfast at the restaurant and it was ok, could have had a greater variety of local greek products. For the rest of the meals it s advisable to check out the tavernas located in the Platamonas port. The best thing was the beach just in front of the hotel which is awesome and a good place for snorkeling. So all in all it s a nice place for spending a couple of quiet relaxing days on the olympic riviera, that s what we did :)
