Charged extra for "Drawing on the wall"

Reviewed 24 november, 2022

Had a decent stay in the hotel, nothing special, nothing terrible. Checked my bank account a couple days later to see that I was charged €50 extra. I queried it in an email assuming it was a mistake. Got a reply saying that I was charged extra for "Drawing on the wall". They then sent an email with a sheet of paper saying that that was it. Was told on the phone by Elena that she won't connect me to her manager. Needless to say that this isn't the last of it and they :)

An enjoyable stay at Beresford, Dublin

Reviewed 19 november, 2022

Beresford hotel has our best recommendation for a stay in Dublin! The room was cosy and clean, Josip, Natalia and Ionela in the Reception were always friendly, responsive and very helpful! These all have made our trip very enjoyable making us feel at home! Kind regards and happy upcoming Christmas, Ruslan and Svetlana Snegur

It was a really unpleasant stay. Uncomfortable bed, duvet, pillow - low quality. Grim and depressing. Noise outside for the whole night, facing the bustop so I didn't sleep. Extremely expensive at 270 euro for the night.

Rude Reception and Manager

Reviewed 14 november, 2022

The room was OK, it was the attitude of the staff. Booked through Hopper and upon arrival I was told I had to pay a €100 deposit, which was in no way in their terms and conditions on Hopper. Reception guy told me it had been emailed to me, or rather a "no reply" email address owned by Expedia. I asked to speak to the manager, and she was rude as hell. Told me "its not my problem" and "deal with it". The two then had a conversation in their own language (not English or Irish) and she then got even ruder. Reported to Hopper and it will be investigated as it was against Hopper's Ts&Cs to demand a deposit AFTER booking.

Very Good 3* Hotel

Reviewed 8 november, 2022

Great location, clean and nice staff. The hotel is a bit tired in parts but for a 3* Dublin hotel it’s very good and I would happily stay again. I had expected this to be a bit rough but I couldn’t have been so wrong. Close to the bus and train stations and the city centre makes this a great location. The staff were friendly and welcoming, very professional. The room was small, a bit outdated but very clean and functional. The mattress was a bit soft but I slept really well. All credit to the housekeeping, they seemed to be working non-stop. I would definitely stay here again. Just accept Dublin hotels are overpriced, especially if there is a match or entertainment event on (we paid €244 for the one night room only)
