Food Trip

Haven't stayed here. But the sizzling pochero is such a staple meal! Order ahead of time to make sure. Reasonable priced and good for sharing. Cozy restaurant. Parking is slightly limited. But it's easy to find spots

Very bad restaurant experience

Reviewed 24 december, 2021

We made reservations at their restaurant and sent our order 2hrs before. When I called on the way, they have not checked what our order was. When we got their some of the dishes we ordered were not available. We chose another one and find out after 10 to 15mins it is not available again. They close at 9pm and the soup was served first 750pm. The rest of our order arrive so late. Will not recommend.

Event Booking

Zero star for this hotel and never again! We held my niece's 18th Birthday at their Hall last night. Management and staff were appalling! Our styling team were given a whole lot of difficulty from start to finish and all the time I had to discuss with the lady behind the desk. Late welcome for styling crew, no lights and no AC in a sound proof airtight room. 1500 per hour if we insisted. As it was a themed event,we needed to get cement buckets to support our bamboo poles, improvised solely because hotel does not allow anything on walls and ceilings. Worst, staff shut down elevator and led our service team to lift all these buckets and heavy stuff through narrow flight of stairs at the farthest end of the building up to the third floor and back. Team was already out of breath, hot and exhausted before they could even start their job. Same thing happend at the end of the night, back and forth 3-storey high stairways with heavy props. Because there was a scratch on one of the steps, team were not allowed to go home even if it was almost midnight. I was asked to pay . We spent so much for styling but Royal Suites made it difficult for them to execute the concept properly. Bare ugly seats and old chaffing dishes for those who will pick Package A. Lots of corkage fees, and extra extra fees. To the management, you need to review your retrictions,as well as your staff... very inconsiderate, unhelpful and lazy. Nightmare.

That Meal's a Loadin'!

If cholesterol is the least bit of your concern, and a succulent meat for a meal is to your craving, then be sure to drop by their restaurant, and take a bite at that sizzling bulalo (beef bone and marrow). Oh, did I miss out on the slice of quadruple chocolate cake? You better seize the chance to take a bite and believe that the moonlight shines on Paris after the sun goes down.

Sizzling bulalo

Reviewed 8 may, 2019

This review is for the restaurant and the hotel. The first time I walked by the restaurant, I saw through the windows the sizzling bulalo being served at one table. I learned later on that this was the restaurant’s specialty. My friend and I ordered this, plus veggies, that night of our arrival. Oh, oh, oh ... what a sinful dish! The meat was so tender and falling off the bones and the gravy, on top of garlic rice, was savoury and hit the spot. We shouldn’t have ordered the veggies. Much as the bulalo was amazing, it was too big a serving for two. And we had to take the leftovers, including the hardly touched veggies, back to the room to make another meal. We also had breakfasts (tocino, corned beef combos) here (costs extra, not part of the free continental breakfast) nd bam-I. The chef does a really good job. So good. With respect to the hotel itself, where we stayed for four days, it is located a few kilometres from downtown. We didn’t mind this, though, because commuting by tricycle is a breeze. I booked a twin bedroom and I liked that the bathroom was newly renovated and the air conditioner was strong; coming from the humid and hot temperatures outside, having a “cold” room was a blessing. Check-in was also efficient and friendly and polite. There are signs that the hotel is still under renovation but I didn’t hear any noise at all. If you visit Dumaguete, swing by Royal Suite Inn for their to-die-for sizzling bulalo.
