Oregon wine country charm with French countryside accents.
Opinión escrita el 25 de Julio de 2021
Charming, comfortable, friendly place in the heart of wine country. Truly fabulous breakfast, welcoming hosts and staff with very helpful tips and pointers for getting the most out of wine country. Authentic Oregon with French accents, just like Willamette Valley wines themselves. Highly recommended.

Welcoming, accommodating and friendly hosts Elizabeth and Mark made our stay in Oregon wine country a perfect experience. Breakfast was delicious and easy to individualize, and our room was lovely, quiet and clean. As a lesbian couple, we felt welcomed and recognized among a diverse group of guests. And they helped us pack up a piece of art so that it could arrive safely home! Thank you Mark and Elizabeth and your crew!
Just a wonderful B&B in the Willamette Valley wine country

We were expats in Europe for many years and have had opportunities to stay at some of the very best B&Bs in England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain - many cities in these countries... La Bastide ranks among the very best. Clean, large room, warm hospitality, facilities for water, soft drinks, coffee... and a wonderful breakfast. Mike and Elizabeth, as great hosts, stay in the background but are there whenever you need a response from them. Location is great too... Wonderful restaurants nearby as well as a short trip to either Newberg or McMinnville. Of course, many wineries are nearby... Just a great place. BTW - we also took a walk toward Hyland and NW Wine and had a wonderful walk...among the vines.
Oregon’s wine country needed this!

For years there were very few places to stay in Oregon’s wine country. This is the perfect spot. We found La Bastide online and it was such a wonderful surprise. It is reasonably priced, the rooms are perfect-as another reviewer mentioned, it was built as a Bnb so the rooms are spacious and comfortable, the bedding oh so luxurious, and yes, the fireplace was lovely after a long day of wine tasting. We enjoyed chatting with the hosts who were very helpful in setting up winery appointments, including the next-door Hyland. Our one big mistake was having a large anniversary dinner the night before our breakfast. The breakfast is so good I would recommend going light on dinner so you can fully enjoy the very generous breakfast. We had the excellent dutch baby with rhubarb-strawberry sauce with sausage, and blueberry muffins, served outside on their lovely patio-you can choose where you’d like to eat. And the recipes are available! Thank you for that.
This was a home run. Thank you, Mark and Elizabeth-we will be back!
Outstanding place to stay and even more outstanding breakfast!

Perfect place to stay in the wine country and all the reviews say it all about how great this place is with the best breakfast ever. It was built as a B&B from scratch not a converted house so all the rooms are very nicely done, spacious and comfortable. It’s also right next to Hyland Estate’s winery which turned out to be a really good wine tasting.
