Nice place to stay for sure

Upon check in, the gentleman was nice but not very efficient. He did not tell me about the breakfast but he did grant Kate check out. The room was very comfortable & room as always was very nice. My check out girl however made up for it. She was very pleasant & sweet. I’d stay again for sure.
Nice people, but needs an upgrade.

I stayed in room 106. I don't have a strong nose, but when I opened the door, it smelled pretty bad. The manager offered a new room to me, which I didn't take for some reason, but I did have her give the carpet a good spray down with Febreeze. It seemed like the housekeeper had been interrupted, as the new toiletries were left for me along with a hairy bar of soap by the sink AND in the shower, along with some old shampoo and conditioner. I did not complain and am sure they would have again offered to move me, but I knew I would survive. The bathroom light goes on and off automatically and stayed on all night long. I had to prop the drain open in the tub to get it to drain; it wouldn't stay up on its own. I'm pushing to have my coworkers try a new hotel with me the next time we visit our customer. One night was enough.
Family Reunion Fun

Stayed here for three nights during a family reunion weekend. Staff was friendly and room was clean. Continental breakfast was okay-nothing to rave about (cereal, fruit, oatmeal, waffles, bagels, etc.) Kids noted the pool was ice cold, but once they played and splashed around in it, it was okay. The hotel only has two floors and there is not an elevator in the building to get to the second floor. The ice machine worked great and we were able to fill up our coolers. The ice machine is loud so I would request a room away from it. Easy access to the freeway. Overall good stay after traveling up from Alabama.
A Good Place to stay

I was relocated here from another hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious, bright and comfortable. The only issue I had with the room was the shower head. It seemed like it was working okay, but not perfectly and probably needed to be replaced. The breakfast was ample, however, I think it could have been staffed better. Things were running out and there didn’t seem to be enough hustle to get items replaced. I would stay here again.
A good location when visiting the area but in need of an upgrade....

Fairfield Inn Okemos is located close to everything in Okemos and being close to the freeway, you can be in East Lansing and other surrounding areas in no time. The room are clean and the staff are friendly. However, it seems to be in need of an upgrade especially with competition propping up close by. Breakfast needs variety and should not be the same daily. That said, I probably will scout around before staying at this hotel again.
