I was pleasantly surprised by all the amenities at this Holiday Inn Express! I wasn’t expecting much, as I have stayed at a few Holiday Inns, but this IHG hotel offered a far and away much better experience. The hotel was extremely clean and looked like it may have been recently renovated or just very well-kept. The concierge was friendly and helpful, check in was super speedy. The room was big, and perfectly clean. It came standard with a fridge (which was about twice the size of a regular hotel mini fridge), a microwave, and a Keurig coffee maker. The tv was large and mounted on the wall with an arm that allowed me to move it so it was easily visible no matter where I was in the room. And they had a channel guide so I knew the channel numbers (this is always a big plus for me). There was a large wardrobe with an iron and a safe. There was a desk and a chaise lounge with a side table. The king bed was super comfy and the pillows were dreamy. The toiletries were JR Watkins, a cruelty free brand!!! The bathroom mirror had a light around it which was great for putting on makeup. There was also a hair dryer. The hotel offers a free breakfast, with cereals, oatmeal, fruit, juices, yogurts, pastries, muffins, bagels, breads, a pancake printer, and the day I was there they also had scrambled eggs, egg white omelettes, sausage gravy and biscuits, sausage patties, and turkey sausage links. There was also a really nice coffee and tea station. And I didn’t use any of them, but there was a fitness center, pool, hot tub, and a small business center with a desktop computer and printer. Apparently the hotel also has a meeting room which was being used for some kind of training seminar when I was there. Free WiFi too!! At just about $100/night, it was one of the most affordable choices in the area and I feel like I got a great deal. Will definitely stay at this hotel again!
Sleep but don't eat

The room was wonderful - large. The hotel perfectly located to St Michaels and other destinations.
The breakfast was below Holiday Express standards. I tried the eggs, pancakes, muffins, oatmeal. It was all warm, dry, etc.
I did like the little "doggie" bags for those that were going site-seeing to take some fruit, etc. for the trip.
Great Hotel in a Good Location

I chose this hotel over the other Holiday Inn Express in this area because they have a hot tub. I stayed during the weekend, I saw plenty of guests during the free breakfast, but not many in the pool area. This location switched to the bulk-size toiletries. There's a fridge, microwave, Keurig, iron and ironing board, and hair dryer in the room. The only negative is the TV, the remote was not the original TV brand so I couldn't figure out how to switch to HDMI.
Best in Area

I typically am not very impressed with the Holiday Inn Express properties as they vary so greatly in quality, cleanliness and decor but this property is a keeper. The new interior is a home run, the staff was very friendly and helpful and I do prefer the Holiday Inn Express free breakfast offering compared to others as it has the egg white omelets and turkey sausage. I will be staying a lot in the area soon and will be staying here.
A great hotel in Maryland

My wife and I decided to stay here on our trip to Kent Island and this hotel was awesome. All of the staff members were friendly and helpful. We got a great room at a fair price. The room itself was clean and spacious. The breakfast was great. We would definitely stay here again.
