Dump of a property
Reviewed 8 January, 2020
A dump of a property, flat had been trashed and was very dirty. I complained to the management and very aggressive response, their MD, a guy named Siroosh, went to head but me, but fortunately I saw it coming and pulled back to avoid contact. Rip off, avoid, the very worst of accommodation providers.
Nothing special room except the view, bad customer service

I recommend trying to find a different place if you don't want to go through a hassle losing your reservation while you travel. When I went here, they weren't able to find Any record on their end of my booking, and they also didn't have availability for the whole stay. So they asked me to get a completely separate booking pay out of my pocket even if I prepaid via hotels.com, so I did.
This whole situation itself was not pleasant and wasting my precious time while traveling. But it got worse after when I try to get refund for the addition amount I paid to book the first night due to their mess. Hotels.com is trying to confirm this situation and my extra charge with this place and even if I provided a bank statement and receipt that was issued by them, this hotel is not confirming my stay. Really horrible service. Avoid at all cost.

Really don't understand the amount of terrible reviews on here. For the price, these apartments are fantastic and I will stay here every time I'm working in Edinburgh. Sure, there is room for improvement but in this case you get much more than what you pay for.
I had a 2 bedroom apartment which came with 2 bathrooms and a huge lounge. Very clean inside, plenty of parking, comfortable beds, amazing power showers, bathtub, dishwasher, washing machine, free WiFi. Considering these apartments are cheaper than most small hotel rooms in edinburgh, I don't know what more people expect.
My only issue was that maintenance was a little poor. The vacuum didn't work, the clothes airer was broken and the washing machine froze after one use. I didn't address these at the time as was out everyday for work from 8-6 but I'm sure they would have sorted something for me.
Also, only 2 dishwasher tablets and 2 toilet rolls for a 5 day stay and no spare rubbish bags.
Regardless, I loved my apartment and would go back in a heartbeat. Roughly a fifteen minute drive to the city centre but plenty of amenities in the surrounding area of Leith including an Asda superstore around the corner.
Booked as "City Suites Western Habour"

Great value £45/ night, modern and spacious 2 bedder. Booked via hotels.com was nearly perfect for our family stay - Except total lack of WiFi.
We made sure we were there 3-4pm to be checked in by staff having read of bad experiences. And indeed bumped into 2 groups who couldn't enter their apartments via their emailed instructions.
Ample boiling water, adjustable wall heaters in each room. The one in our ensuite didn't work and floor was too cold to use. The common bathroom actually was double the size with bathtub and much more counter space. Lovely view over the sea and the courtyard from both bedrooms. Super feather duvets.
No food, but Premier Inn Brewers Fayre was just 7 mins stroll. Big 24 hr Asda Supermarket is a further 3 mins walk.
Was surprised a day before arrival to received a 13 page email with terms and conditions & check in instructions! DO ensure you check in personally!
Take Bus 10 from George street til last stop (Western Harbour). Reception desk is on the corner on the next road to right.

Was meant to stop here while we were in Edinburgh, drove 3 hours with a 1 year old who baring in mind was getting sick of being in the car to be told when we got there that because we were under 25 we had to pay a £250 deposit! I never saw anything about this when booking it or I wouldn’t of booked it! When I said we didn’t have it the woman said well you will have to find somewhere else!! Luckily we found somewhere but knowing we had a baby with us what did she think we were going to do!!!
