Last day in Tampa.
We wanted to be closer to the airport on our last night in Tampa. This location is about 8 miles from the airport and within walking distance to bars and restaraunts. Gas station conveniently located between here and the car rental return facility. Althought the exterior is having a facelift right now, the interior and rooms are very clean. We stayed on a Saturday afternoon/night; very quiet in our 4th floor room.
Place is a dump.
First. We checked out a day early because of this dumpster fire. Our keys stopped working day two. The photos on this website do not represent the actual hotel. The picture posted here of the lobby is wrong. That photo of the lobby is way too nice. The hotel is undergoing construction and looks like a construction site with materials all over. The lobby is dusty, the elevator is nasty with stains/smells, no hot water for the shower and the rooms are dirty. There is hot water coming out of the sink, but not for the shower, the water is lukewarm at best. Also, the hotel is in a seedy area, we do not recommend this hotel for families.
Unless your extremely desperate I wouldn’t stay here. We stayed here February 21-23 2020, the hotel is doing renovations so parking is limited. As we entered it appeared to be pretty nice, the shock came after we got on the elevator to go our the room, it was pretty dirty. Some of the parking was taken up by the construction company and equipment so guests were force to park in the parking lot of the adjoining property. One night we came back to what appeared to be a homeless person walking the parking lot, another night the construction workers were hanging out in the parking lot and appeared to be partying. In the morning we came out to broken bottles and other trash in the parking lot. Though the hotel was non-smoking there was a strong odor of marijuana as soon as we hit our floor. The door to our room looked as though it had been kicked in which left my wife feeling quite uneasy as well as a party going on the room next to us another night, it didn’t really feel like a family friendly place. We have stayed in less expensive hotels and had way better experiences. The only thing that kept us from leaving was only a matter of convenience, it was close to where we had to go for a family engagement. This was not worth the price we paid. The only reason it got one star was because it wouldn’t let me leave no stars.
Mr. Joe's Review
It was a pleasant stay and we had a good time with our family. The hotel had everything we wanted and we were looking for a hotel to stay in Tampa close to our family I think we found one. Other than the construction that was going on in and around the hotel everything was great. We will be staying there at our next visit to Tampa.
A very nice no-frills hotel. Good location next to several nice restaurants and a Walmart. When I forgot my winter coat (visited in January from NYC), I called the hotel and they told me they found it and I could come get it at any time. It was waiting for me at the reception neatly packed in a plastic bag. Very good customer service.
