We were gone for a month in South America and this was the worst place we stayed. The door knob fell off entering our room, there was a hole in the ceiling, the pillows were bad, shower heads needed to be replaced, and the breakfast was subpar. Stay somewhere else. The staff was friendly enough. Only the lobby area had wifi and their code was hard to remember! You had to log in every time you wanted to use wifi.
A sweet hotel with a very helpful staff
I stayed here for four nights and found it to be a delightful hotel...quiet, clean and a very short walk from the downtown restaurants and shops. The staff was very helpful in packing a lunch for my all day trips to the Perito Moreno Glacier and for the all day Glacier excursion. The lunch was so generous I ate it for both lunch and had enough left over for a nice dinner. The lunch was a mere 15 pesos which was the equivalent of about $2.00 USD. I told them a lunch like that in New York City would have cost me $20.00 USD and wouldn't have been anywhere as delicious. It is not luxurious but if you are looking for a ess expensive but comfortable lodging with a hearty breakfast at 6:00am (excursions begin at 7:00am) this is the place for you.
Nice room
Our tour group stayed here for a night when we went to the Glacier National Park, Our carpeted room was large and looked over a yard, generally occupied by a large dog, who was rather noisy at times (but not when we slept), The room contained a safe, but no minifridge. The bed was large, with big fluffy pillows, and the radiators were very effective, The bathroom was adequate, with a combo tub/shower, which, unfortunately, lacked a no-slip mat or safery rail -- either of which would have been useful as the tub was slippery. The towels were big and soft, but the toilet paper was very poor quality, The two-story hotel has no elevator, There is free internet, but only one computer available for use. The breakfast buffet was average for South America hotels. The hotel is in walking distance of the main street of El Calafate, where the tourist shops are located. We found the staff very accommodating.

Estamos hospedados no Hotel, que agora na verdade chama Kauken. O hotel é super limpo, bem confortável. Só não 5 pontos porque não têm geladeira nos quartos e TV. Café da manhã bom, atendimento excelente.

Es un hotel de buena calidad, y bastante bien ubicado a media cuadra de Av. libertador. Tiene Wi-fi, TV. Sin embargo la atención es mejorable. Carece de asensor. Su precio también es mejorable en función de lo que ofrece.
