What a gem!

Had a wonderful stay here in August with my husband, Veronique is a natural amazing host with a unique Joie de Vivre. She and her husband made us feel at home at their beautiful home in an idyllic location, great for exploring Brittany and the surrounds.
We hope to visit there again soon!
Return visit because it is so amazing!

We stayed here for 6 nights in 2015 and returned this time but sadly for only 3 nights. Veronique is an amazing host and you really are welcomed straight away - we watched a World Cup match with her family too! Once again we stayed in La Casanna a self contained unit in the garden, which is just immaculate - so comfortable and well presented, everything has been thought of. The house and gardens are beautiful and there is now a pool - a bonus in this heatwave!
Veronique always offers suggestions for places to visit and eat at, and the location is perfect - close to Les Ormes club to eat at or play golf, and the nearby towns of Dinon, Dol and Combourg are great too (Dinon in particular is well worth a visit) My husband used the driving range and had a round of golf with Veronique and her brother - after which we ate at the golf club. I can't overstate how brilliant this place is and how welcoming Veronique is too - wonderful!
A wonderful find in an idyllic location

We have just spent 4 nights at this very special b&b. We have never stayed anywhere before that matches upto the standard of this beautiful house. Veronique the owner makes you so welcome, you feel like a member of the family. Nothing is too much trouble and if you are a golfer she will willingly play a round of golf with you on the beautiful Des Ormes course. A fantastic location to visit all the popular places in the area. Lovely restaurants in Dol and Comburg and the golf course bar is exceptional value for a lunchtime snack. The perfect ending to our 4 night stay was been able to play on the baby grand piano which takes pride of place in Veroniques home. We will definitely return and I would recommend this b&b to anyone who wants to visit the area.
Wonderful accommodation in a wonderful setting with a very special hostess!

The location of the house, overlooking the local golf course, is beautiful and the hostess, Veronique, is lovely, friendly and very accommodating with an extensive local knowledge of the area.
She used her local knowledge and influence in the local area to assist us in finding restaurants and parking facilities during a particularly busy time in the area whilst the Tour De France visited the region. We would have struggled without her help.
We stayed for only one night and regret not having booked a longer stay there as the building, rooms, location and Veronique's assistance made the stay special indeed. In hindsight, we could have stayed there for an extended period and explored the area further, guided by Veronique's experience, knowledge and local influence.
The rooms are spacious, well furnished and comfortable and breakfast, again provided by the multi talented Veronique, was excellent. Veronique even accommodated a very early departure of our party by providing a wonderful breakfast at an ungodly hour without fuss - perfect!
There is ample parking at the house and the location is handy for many attractions in the area and about 20 minutes drive from Le Mont Saint Michel, which is a must visit site.
There are many other beautiful attractions in the area, most of which Veronique could advise us about but unfortunately our very short stay meant that we were unable to visit them. We hope to visit again soon for a longer period and further explore the area.
A recommended stay location!
A Gem on the Golf Course

This is an elegant (new) house with three modern bedrooms and large well fitted bathrooms owned by a very cultured Dutch lady and avid golfer, warm and helpful Veronique Van Dongen who runs it as a B&B. Instantly you are made to feel as if you have entered your own home, a lovely living room with art and even a Bechstein piano !
Brittany was new to us and Veronique organised two amazing days with the best sightseeing visits, restaurant bookings for lunch and dinner and a couple of young students to drive and guide us to these small villages and ancient beach towns of St Malo,Dinan and the stunning Mont St Michel.
The breakfast is very French with cheese, yoghurt, breads ,fruit and tea/coffee/juices.
She took my golfer friend out on the buggy into the well manicured Domaine Des Ormes golf course , due to time constraints she couldn't get to play.
The house is beautifully located , and 30 mins from the Brittany Ferries dock at St Malo, 45 min car ride from the airports of Dinard or Rennes which have flights from London .
Highly recommend and we will go back again !
