We needed to get away from the palm beaches and could leave state due to mandatory quarantine in any other state and quarantine back home sooo we drove up to beautiful Ameila island As I’m a Marriott person the residence in. Looked perfect with large rooms and kitchen and close to beach. Staff very nice Property clean , room not special but clean. Always stay at Marriott’s and this one is very good but the best part is closeness to beautiful beach
Very clean hotel and friendly employees
Admittedly, I was a little hesitant to stay here right after the travel ban was lifted, but I had faith that the Residence Inn would be clean and safe. i'm glad I did! The front desk employees were all very friendly and helpful with tips on what was open the area. The grab & go breakfast was a nice touch. My room was spacious and clean - maybe even a little more sparkly than usual. It's a short walk or drive to the island's beaches and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.
This hotel itself and it's lush grounds are impeccably well kept and has an amazing, kind, accommodating staff on at all times. We can not say enough about the incredibly attentive individuals working there.The lobby and pool area are immaculate and were welcoming while still being appropriately set up for social distancing during Covid 19. The location is stellar in that it is very close to the beach, has a beautiful walking/biking path directly behind it and is close to a variety restaurants. Downtown is just a couple of miles away. This hotel is extremely pet friendly which is a must as we travel often with 2 small dogs
Wedding anniversary in difficult times
As a Medical Intensive Care Unit RN, this would have been a really upsetting aniversary, since all of our lifestyle have been turned upside down due to the Corona Virus Pandemia. But Jenna and the rest of the Marriot team members made sure we felt the amazing southern hospitality, in the middle of our social isolation. Every detail was superb. We can't wait for this to end, so we can return!

Average hotel and decor. Front desk a little snippy and abrupt with us upon arrival, it was late, about 9:30pm but still no excuse for that. Room was not typical Marriott Residence Inn quality. The real discouraging thing is that the hotel needs some work but you would not know it upon entry. In the bathroom, the towel bars fell off the wall onto my wife's foot and put a gash on her foot. Ice and bandages were needed for the next few hours. At no fault of our own, this is not a pleasant way to enjoy your stay at any hotel especially a Marriott Brand hotel. Very disappointed in this hotel and the lack of concern shown by staff for anything. Also be aware no breakfasts here either.
