Only sleeps 2 - “sleeper sofa” unusable

Were staying w extended family of 4. Reserved hotel because had queen bed & “queen sleeper”. The sleeper was a box spring - a sofa that flipped and was a board covered in vinyl. Spoke to mgmt & they said always get complaints. Had to get room elsewhere and requested refund - 2 weeks later no resolution

The good: SUPER CLEAN. Comfy bedding. Kitchenette was nicely stocked. There is a nice set up IN the closet- a mirror, drawers, & shelves along with loads of space to hang things up. Tons of easily-accessible plugs in practical places throughout the room. Whitney was super kind and helpful.
The meh: outdoor pool, only 2 towels in the bathroom, shower was kinda small. The free continental breakfast had decent variety, though the hot foods were obviously foods that could be microwaved elsewhere and brought in to warmers.
The terrible: when we got here, they had sold our room!!! we booked, way back in March, a 2 room suite through booking.com. We had to change the dates because 3 of my family had covid. The staff worked with us and assured us these new dates were open. I even called last week to confirm. When we arrived today, the desk employee was surprised that we hadn't been called to inform us that our room had been claimed and that the hotel had oversold their available rooms. She gave us 3 options to make it right- we ended up in a smaller room with a queen bed and a pull out couch. We were so looking forward to having a 2 room suite, but got this smaller one instead.
The room only had two bath towels, so we had to ask the desk for two more. Whitney was very accommodating; though she did tell us that since we were here for two days, if we wanted fresh towels, we had to swap them at the desk. So, I took them downstairs, counted them back to the lady (Cori), and she gave me back 3 towels. I explained that I had 4 people in the room, so we'd need 4. She said that the "standard" is 3, but gave me a 4th one anyway. I reminded her that we were supposed to be in a bigger room that came with 4 towels, but that wasn't my fault.

So, this hotel is a Marriot Category 2, so we were not expecting, 'high end'. But with that said, it may be a little worn in some of the public areas, but it was clean, and the reception was very good.
The room was actually set up really well - good layout and plenty spacious. We were traveling during the pandemic with pets and having a full kitchen to heat up meals we had brought worked out really well.
Will definitely plan to stay here again when we make the trip from South to Midwest

I’ve stayed at several TownePlace Suites and this one is just ok. Definitely an older property but still clean. Staff was very nice and there were freshly baked cookies when I arrived. My room was on the first floor and people across from me were cooking something that didn’t smell so great, but then that’s not really the fault of the hotel. Applebee’s and a convenience store are both within walking distance.

We came to Findlay for an IHSA competition with our small team of girls. We checked in on November 1 at around 7 pm and the girl at the counter (I didn’t get her name) was phenomenal. She gave us extra towels, shampoos, and helped us get a better rate. Overall, her demeanor was very welcoming and she was more than accommodating. Our room was perfect. There were 2 queen size beds, a sleeper sofa and a small kitchenette - perfect for our group of 5. It was clean and well-appointed. Breakfast was pretty standard but filling. We will definitely be back.
