Spent 7 nights here in April while moving my mother-in-law back into her apartment. Was greeted very warmly by Michelle, who welcomed us, and gave us all the info we needed. Met Sherri, the general manager, the next morning as she was working on the breakfast buffet. She was also very welcoming and friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. As we saw both these ladies over the rest of the week, they were constantly in motion; checking on rooms, talking with guests, taking care of maintenance issues. Never saw the housekeeping staff as we were gone most of the day, but the room, and the entire property, were always pristine and in good repair. I left a thank you note along with a gratuity each morning, and always received a nice reply. The hotel is quiet, the fellow patrons were very friendly and there is a good vibe here. My husband had to return the following week, and he saw Sherri and Michelle again, and got to know them better. We both agreed that we have never felt more welcome, and appreciated, while staying at a hotel. I sincerely hope that the owners of the hotel realize what a rare, and unique, team of highly dedicated and professional staff members they have here. Thank you for your obvious caring for others, and for giving 200% each and every day. There are those of us that take notice. Will be seeing you again soon! Take care, and stay healthy and safe. What a great treat for Fort Dodge Iowa! 5 star customer service, 5 star cleanliness! Room was modern, stream-lined and CLEAN! Staff was nice and eager to help. You truly felt welcomed the minute you walked in door. Hotel is very modern and provided all the amenities of the chains. I will be staying here on all my return trips to Fort Dodge.

I must say.. Excellent. I travel alot for work and stay a long time in places. This was the best. From every one staff member who made me feel at home, and went above and beyond anything I have expected to accommodate me during my stay. From knowledge of the town, or just a conversation. Even the other patrons I have met during my stay were awesome. This place is wonderful, clean, quiet. Hot breakfast every morning,local craft pizzas in the lounge at night, outside patio with a grille and seating, parking is ample.. Thank You Sherri and Michelle for your hard work and kindness to all. Very Homelike experience and recommend this place to everyone and will most definitely return for my stays in the area.

When my husband arrived on Sunday (11-15-2020) to check in, the clerk at the desk did not believe who he was, she accused him of being someone who called earlier that morning asking her to hold a room. She then told him to pull his mask down so she could see his face, to see if he was being honest. He’d already said his name, given her his drivers license and told her he was not the guy who called. If she had never seen the other guy, what is pulling down his mask going to prove? Very strange procedure.
He stayed for a week due to work.
Checked in again on Sunday, November 29th. I call today (30th). Sherrie at the front desk answered the phone, I asked to speak to ***my husband. She informed me ** wasn’t downstairs but in his room. I didn’t ask for details, just put me through to his room. Call never went through but I could hear her, so I asked if she was the same person who had him pull his mask down so she could see his face. She became irate and was extremely rude. I told her once again to put me through to his room. She then thought she did, but once again she didn’t. I could hear every detail of her conversation with a man about me! 99% of what she was telling him was untrue. After I got tired of listening to her completely trash me and make up a story to whomever was listening to her, I let her know I could hear everything and was still waiting. She didn’t even speak that time but my call was dropped/disconnected.
The hotel is apparently nice for the town. I’m not sure why the workers feel the need to speak to people like they do.

What a wonderful surprise to be treated as "part of the family" in a hotel! From the well-appointed room to the great hot breakfast, everything about Cobblestone made me feel like a valued visitor. I even used the exercise room, the laundry, and traveler-focused shop. I was impressed that DVDs were available for free checkout --- near the popcorn! The best part was the kindness of the manager and staff.
