Where dreams go to die

Please note, this was written from a European perspective. Which we have found is more demanding than the Brazilian. Dislikes: - hygiene: toe nails on the floor, hair on the bed,... - ugly, really old and ugly - many broken things: first room: window broken (mosquitoes like that :-)) and in second room, the toilet was broken - breakfast: plates / tables were dirty and food was not very good. Very unpleasant place to eat. Ugly tables/chairs - people: speak very little English. Manager has a hidden agenda: tries to get you to eat in "4 sorelli" restaurant so he gets a bonus. Restaurant may or may not be delicious, but they didn't try to get you to the best restaurant for you, only to the best restaurant for them - hygiene experience: when the toilet overflowed they didn't plan on using soap to clean the bathroom until we explicitly asked them Likes: - people: were very friendly and often willing to help. We were rather disappointed in this hotel - it’s a basic hotel, works are busy on almost every floor and it’s a real challenge to get to some floors (to get to the 6th floor we had to get two different elevators located on a totally different side of the building and indicating different floors). Breakfast was basic and place to sit very crowded. As we had a deluxe room, this was spacious and comfortable equipped but you could find some small ants and even a big insect and some point. Location is ok and staff is very helpful and friendly. Pool is small but looks nice, we could not use it as it was just a cold wave and water is not warmed. I would not recommend this place, look for another option as there are many available.
Good, but not excellent

We had a round trip in Brazil and this wasn't our best hotel. Breakfast was a bit less good and in the neighbourhood there is really nothing to do. So you visit the falls (of course, because they are great), maybe Itaipu also, but that's all, for sure.
Very good Hotel in Foz do Iguaçu

We've been there (my husband and I) and amazing room, ok breakfast (it could have well prepared cakes, all the others egg, juice, bread is ok), but long line to get coffee and milk. Cleans, well located downtown, one block from militar building makes the place even more safe in a very safe city.
Good value for your money

We stayed 2 nights in a twin room. Good clean room with airco, fridge, comfortable beds. Clean shower/wc. Shower temperature was difficult to adjust. Nice friendly staff, but they speak mainly portugese and spanish. The breakfast was great. The location is great, near the bus termibal. The 2nd day we found out that a swimming pool is free for use. Negative point: it could benefit from some renovations. All in all, good value for the price!
