Comfort Hotel Frankfurt Central Station
Comfort Hotel Frankfurt Central Station is a block away from the Frankfurt Main train station from the main station entrance, location very convenient. The hotel is located very close by two Chinese restaurants and a Yan Jing Chinese buffet a block away. The lobby is nothing to write home about, just enough to stand with your lugguage. Breakfast is availble for twelve euros weekdays 0630-1000, weekends 0700-1000 entrance from the lobby. The room was small, clean, tiles not carpeted which we like, but too warm for us, tried turning off the heat, ended up opening the window to cool the room. The room doors needs to be slammed shut, otherwise it won't lock, too tight fitting. Shower stall has a rainforest showerhead and a separate handheld one. Liquid body and shampoo provided. The coffee maker in the room had an option for making hot water for tea, but that failed to work. We got a hot water kettle and extra coffee packets, tea, cream from the desk. Apples are also offered at the desk. Mini bar, safe, WiFi. Our sleep was comfortable, floor was tile, not carpeted which we like. Small desk and a chair for one person to use. So a second person usually has to resort to the bedstand or lap to use a second laptop in the room. Sleep quality was fine, no issues, two twin beds with comforters. Left early morning for the train to the airport. This place is nothing fancy, it's clean, allows us to shower, rest, sleep, basic, wifi works well. Highly recommended.
Not that COMFORTable
Looks like they upgraded a hostel into a hotel. It is just ONE block away from the central train station as long as you exit from the main entrance. The lobby is small with not much area for people to sit at. I was in town for a trade convention at the Messe exhibition hall. As I was reserving my room for a queen bed, they were all sold out before I completed the reservation process so I had to settle for a single bed. Due to the convention, they doubled the price! The hallways are narrow and the room configuration is a bit odd (not a simple 4 sided room) with a small shower stall even more odd! I have stayed in other hotels in Europe before but this is the first I have stayed in where they had vinyl flooring. I can tell they were vinyl since they didn’t do a good job laying down the tiles. There was a shallow crater in the middle of the floor! To their praise, the bathroom did have a radiator/ towel warmer but mines didn’t work. Since it was the weekend, it wouldn’t be fixed. The microphone shower head had great pressure. This also is bad for it’s configuration. The first time I showered, the door was not in a fixed locked position so the pressure from the shower head forced the water through the seams out of the shower stall, down to the bathroom and then into the bedroom (bathroom was small). If they placed the shower head in the opposite corner, this could have been avoided. The bed was supportive but the pillows were soft and not supportive. Due to time difference I didn’t sleep much. I was here for three nights so it was ok. There are plenty of room for improvements!
Nicely updated, but a bit dirty
My room was nicely updated, but the cleanliness could be better. There was dust in the electric sockets and in the corners of the room. The toilet had stains in it. The towels were below average. If the cleanliness was corrected, it would have been a nice place to stay.
Very good location, clean rooms and good price
The Hotel is in the Bahnhofviertel ca.200m from the Main Train Station , and ca.10min on foot to Willy Brandt Platz and Alte Oper the room was clean ,and renovated. The Front desk crew was very polite and helpful. My room was single standard room without AC but the temperature in the room was okey. They also have bussness room ( with AC ) . Since I was there for bussness and solo traveller it was a great choice.
Great location. Make sure you get a room with A/C.
A small hotel with friendly staff, clean room, good size bathroom and everything working. Would have liked to hav A/C in the room since it still was warm in early september. The fan that was in the room did not work so I had to sleep with open window and that was a bit noisy.
