Rossija Hotel (red very carefully before you click)
The hotel is place in the Red Light Strasse in Frankfurt. There are drunks and drogadicts around the hotel. They don´t bother you, but I was frightned. There are sex inns and erotic stores. I only travel for business so I return at the end of the day, and It was a bit difficult to enter that zone. There are no taxis in those squares, you have to walk 5-10 minutes tu find one. The rooms are clean and quiet. The breakfast is ok. I travel alone so maybe for me was a bit akward. no recommend for family.
Good location. Rest all average.. happening area with lots of charsi.. Indian restaurant is very near. Hotel is in Prostitution area . Dont go with family. Go single and get double 🤣🤣🤣.. no service. Breakfast also average
Not my best choice
If you are looking for a cheaper hotel in the red light area above the Frankfurt underground system (kicks in about 5am and sounds like mild earthquake) which is very basic with strange smell in the room (26) then this is for you. Room quite large. Towels thin and tired. Basically clean.
When it comes to the hotel I can't have any complaints at all. The beds were very good. The breakfast was good as well and the fact that we could park the var behind a gate for 10€ a day was very nice. The second day we could even park for free as long as we were sightseeing in town. Good service. The area in which the hotel is located isn't very fancy. Homeless people on the street everywhere and a lot of erotic shops and bars in the entire area. It all looks, feels and is very dodgy. Nevertheless, the main station of Frankfurt is on walking distance just as the Altstadt and the the business district. So when it comes to that the hotel is located perfectly. All in all we enjoyed our stay!
Breakfast even better than the last time I was here
I love places like the Hotel Rossija, that offer no frills, clean, basic accommodation at an affordable price to travellers. I have stayed here three times now, twice with friends and once with my elderly mother. The rooms and bathrooms are spotless. Yes, there is a certain 'Russian' flavour to the staff and customer service, but you get used to that and it has its own attraction. Yes, the area it is in is not leafy embassy quarter style, but in all the times I have stayed there, I have never felt unsafe, or been approached by anyone unsavoury. Still, if you want gambling, good kebabs or sex bars, it's the place to be. I live in a city myself and have been on many streets such as Moselstrasse. I survived and intending vistors will too. Beautifully crisp rolls (and plenty of them) on offer with the continental breakfast each day. Also on offer, cereals, toast, juice, coffee, tea, jams, butter, hams, salamis, cheese, tomatoes, eggs, cucumber - only the churlish would complain. No swimming pool, no restaurant, no English speaking channels on TV and no free wifi, but do you know what? You'll survive without them.
