You can do better…

Never again! I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. The front desk staff was terrible and unapologetic about the room conditions (chipped paint ALL the walls, tile filthy, carpet dingy, cart rusted out, the soap from the previous guest was still in the shower), soap oozes on its own). It never ceases to amaze me how someone could put stained sheets on a bed and thinks that’s ok. I didn’t show that picture; too disgusting to post. Needless to say, I had them change the sheets, I ended my stay and find a different hotel. Unfortunately, none of the #Marriott’s (my fav brand) didn’t have a better property on that island.

I paid over $400 for a room to stay on the main street to attend a niece’s quinceanera. What a horrible waste of money! It makes it worse to see that the following week the rooms are much less! First of all, it was not advertised in Expedia that the hotel was under construction. Next, we spent the weekend with no water in the sinks. We did have water in the bathtub, however, but not worth a $400 a room hotel. The staff was ineffective. The rooms were not detailed. They were not well cleaned, and there were no cups in the rooms. Overall, I was disappointed, and I seriously doubt I will ever be at that hotel again…even AFTER construction.
Disgusting, Waste of Money, False Advertising

From the outside, the hotel looks like the pictures. The inside is the start of a horror story. Summer time is not the time for a hotel to renovate. There was a glass door that was completely shattered and the check-in, breakfast area and bar were so musty and hot. To start off, Gloria the manager refused to accept a “Marriot” gift card, that I received from her corporate office. She states her software from 1828 does not accept the gift card. After arguing with her, I still decided to stay there. We get to the room, and we always strip the beds. We were mortified with what we found, both mattresses were soaked with urine stains. I am not talking one nickel size, the entire mattress. I called the front desk and Wadi stated he could not come to the room because he was the only employee on the property but he would switch us rooms. I went to the new room and stripped the beds before we unpacked. Low and behold both of those beds were soaked with urine stains. We got our belongings and headed downstairs. I told him we would not be staying in this nasty place and to check me out. I asked that he zero out my account and he stated “I can only check you out, you will have to talk to the general manager tomorrow, Gloria”. I called Gloria the next morning and Brianna went to get Gloria for me. Brianna returns and states “Gloria is too busy to speak to you”. I just about lost it at that point and I told Brianna, “that is fine I will be over to the hotel to speak to Gloria in person”. I would not put a homeless person in this hotel. This is not what I expected in a Marriott hotel. There was also long strands of hair on the mattresses and in the bathroom(barf).
Disappointed Sheraton would let this hotel use their name.

We spent 2 nights in this hotel. Total was
$553.00. Very disappointed. I have a hard time believing Sheraton would let them use the Sheraton name.
The hotel was under construction and it's not mentioned in the website.
Pros: The bed and pillows were comfortable.
The hot breakfast was good. The lady taking care of it was very nice and helpful.
The hotel staff was kind courteous.
Cons: The hotel, parking lot, room, swimming pool were all very dirty... not just the construction area.
The light fixtures, door hinges, anything metal was rusted. The bath tub enamel was chipped and the caulking was molded.
There were no cups or glasses of any kind in the room. No coffee pot or ice bucket.
4th floor ice machine was broken.
No radio alarm clock or click of any kind.
Furniture banged up. The doors on the furniture wouldn't shut.
The duvet was stained and ripped.
No housekeeping service.
No trash can liners.
We would have canceled once we saw the room but we would not have got our money back.
At best this wasn't equivalent to a Motel 6.
Live and learn.
