October stay

Reviewed 24 october, 2022

Second stay here. Room was quiet and clean. View was excellent. Digital key did not work from day 1, and they never attempted to fix it, but that was not a big deal. Dinner was good and plenty of choices for breakfast. Disappointing that pets are allowed here, but we had a good stay.

Room with a View

Rm#1116. This Hilton sits high above the crowds in Gatlinburg proving panoramic views of the Smokies (if you face the appropriate side of the hotel). Our room did along with a spacious sized room. The breakfast is plentiful with made to order eggs. Breakfast credit of $30 for two people is included for Gold members. The hotel was full which meant parking at a distance from the entrance but that’s a minor inconvenience. More bothersome was the unwashed picture windows, the broken clothes closet handle and the very, very cheap toilet paper. We wish Hilton can address it’s tired properties. That said, it was a very nice stay.

Disappointed

I really wanted to love this place. The location is perfect to quickly get to the attractions in Gatlinburg without fighting traffic and the views are incredible. The food from vista grille is surprisingly delicious for hotel food and the welcome cookie was so good. The front desk staff and restaurant staff are the best. So polite and friendly each and every time. But this place is busy. It is a convention center and there was an event every day during our stay. There is not ample parking to accommodate a packed hotel during peak season and daily events. Allowing guests to park in the fire lane seems like a major safety issue. The rooms are a decent size however, the beds are not great unless you like sleeping on a worn out extra firm mattress. The rooms also need a deep cleaning. I understand that there is a quick turnover between guests but these rooms haven’t had a good cleaning in years. There was hair left behind from a previous guest in the bathroom and years of dust behind the couch. For almost $300/night, I expected more.

Had A Nice Stay

Reviewed 11 october, 2022

Stayed here for two days as we visited Dollywood. Was fairly impressed with the property. It sits high on a hill and off the main strip with some rooms having great views of the surrounding mountains. It has an Embassy Suites type feel to it, with an interior atrium and glas elevators. We did go at the most busy time of year, fall break for students, and they handled the traffic well. Although the breakfast was hectic and there was a wait; the breakfast itself was great-complete with an omlete station. The room was clean and had an unconventional layout due to the circular design ofv the hotel. But I liked it, plenty of space, clean and well lit. We did use the pool area-indoors and my grandson loved it. I would definitley stay here again.

Booked the same day for a very busy weekend and was impressed...

We were looking for a last minute room during the very busy weekend of October 7-9 and found the Park Vista. We checked in late and was greeted and checked in by a very friendly employee who also gave us warm cookies (can't beat that!). The room was very clean and comfortable. We were given vouchers for breakfast and the buffet was pretty good also. The staff was very busy, but took time to make sure we had what we needed. Overall, it was a great choice and would stay here again.
