The hotel and Toro restaurant were amazing. It was a wonderful way to start the holiday season.

The hotel is is located in beautiful Cherry Creek. The last time I stayed for a family vacation I though it was very nice, since than it has been renovated. It is absolutely beautiful. The staff were all professional and helpful. The Toro restaurant was exceptionally from the smoked old fashion to dessert. The restaurant was busy the night we dined there but Lorraine in her staff made you feel like you were the only people there ,they were truly professional and offered many suggestions for a great dining experience. Cherry Creek was beautiful lined with white lights for Christmas. Between the hotel and location it really got you into the Christmas spirit.

The hotel is stunning! I was there for work and loved the location of the property, surrounded by nice restaurants and lovely local and high end shops. I had dinner and brunch at Toro and it was amazing!
Location is Perfect

"All the services at Clio were wonderful. The valet, restaurant and bar staff were so helpful. The location was perfect, amid a number of really good restaurants, right in the heart of Cherry Creek North. The breakfast at Toro was phenomenal. We will definitely be back every time we're in the area."
If it were average I wouldn't be writing a review

We stayed at the Hotel Clio September 1-5, 2022 and I don’t see us returning unless Marriott comps me a night or two. There are other similar hotel choices just around the corner. My lesson learned: Book through the hotel in the future rather than a 3rd party - I was not such a savvy traveler as to realize the benefit vs the drawback. I am an RN at an emergency department and used a benefit from work to get a slightly better deal on this hotel than offered through their website. Turned out to be a bum deal for 2 reasons. Despite the young front desk clerk spending several doubtful moments on his computer to associate my Marriott account with this reservation and then telling me he was successful, I checked yesterday and see no record of our stay at the Hotel Clio. Despite alerting the manager and another staff member of the room issues we had, they were not able to do much of anything to help me because I had not booked through Marriott. The lobby experience was ok, nothing special and took awhile because as others have mentioned, the front desk staff seemed to be busy on their laptops not making eye contact with or assisting incoming guests. We get to the room and the safe is locked, the front desk says “we’ll send someone right up.” I guess that answer means different things to different people, and we were waiting to leave our valuables in the safe so we could head out. About an hour later I called back to ask about an ETA and was told they have many other tasks. OK, maybe better communication would be helpful. We had them open it when we returned instead (nothing interesting was locked inside from the previous guests) We had events to go to all 4 days of the visit and didn’t spend much time in the hotel except to sleep and then meet friends prior to heading out, so I didn’t take the time to speak to anyone about the gross things about the room until day 3. I approached a guy who I had seen working on a laptop in the lobby multiple times and finally decided he must work at the hotel and wasn’t just doing personal business there. Our interaction included me reluctantly explaining that I was considering writing a review, but wanted to give the hotel the opportunity to fix things first. I showed him the photos included here (minus the stained curtain since my husband had only mentioned it but I hadn’t seen it yet) and his response seemed to blame housekeeping and another department rather than take much accountability. And in case you didn’t notice in the pics, there’s blonde hair in the tub drain, looks like a playdoh lid by the nightstand, it took both of us to push the bed stand underneath the mattress back against the wall because it was sticking out with exposed screws and sharp edges, someone’s used bandaid on the light cord, what looks like popcorn crumbs by the from door, and a truly disgusting red stain on the curtain. He offered to have the room deeply cleaned, which at this point didn’t matter much since we were leaving in the am and were heading out for the night shortly. So he instead offered a bottle of wine or fruit basket, I said sure to the fruit basket - it didn’t materialize. Upon check out in the am, I decided to answer truthfully when asked how my stay was. The lady checking me out seemed truly apologetic and actually removed our bar charges ($60) but said because we booked through a 3rd party she couldn’t do anything else. I write to advise you future guests to consider my experience in your search for where to stay in Cherry Creek. If you use points or something and get benefits out of staying at a Marriott, then it’s probably going to work out well for you, just check the cleanliness of the room first. If you’re just interested in a clean, comfortable, and classy hotel, maybe check out the other options around the corner. I’ll be looking elsewhere unless Marriott offers something to entice me to return on our next trip to the area.
Exceptional Clio Experience, will Definitely Return

EXCEPTIONAL Staff exceeds in guest satisfaction. Bill Beery calmly rescued credit card, stuck in parking meter. Prevented meltdown! Then arranged for a gift to be delivered to hotel versus my picking it up next day. George sat with us for a while, just getting to know us. We Requested some amenities for room (fan, etc), and within 3 min, they were delivered. Quiet, comfy Rooms. Mattress pure Heaven. Water bar on every floor, which we savored throughout the day. Upscale neighborhood with loads of shops and amazing restaurants. 30 min drive to Red Rocks, Arsenal Wildlife Park. Coffee in lobby a lifesaver. Both my friend and I look forward to returning.
