Do NOT stay!!!!

Reviewed 30 august, 2021

Compliants: 1: cost for a single, non smoking was $225 a night!. 2: guess what you get for that $225.... -no continental breakfast -no ice! Not a single ice machine on property -very shoitty tv service! Had to wait 2-5 minutes for each channel to load to see if it was something I wanted to watch. It took me 2.5 hours to find something to watch that I really wasn't interested in watching. 3. Unfriendly staff. When asking about ammentities, was told " This is what we have". I will never visit an IHG hotel again. Even the local roach motels have better service, tv programming and free ice. Never again!

Okay Stay

Reviewed 3 may, 2021

We were traveling through Grand Junction and had made a reservation to stay here. The front desk clerk was helpful and switched me to a room on the first floor upon my request when checking in. Whenever I needed anything, the staff was very helpful. There are two washers and four dryers for free use. The queen room seemed small to me for an extended stay hotel. There is a full sized refrigerator and burners to cook on. When I went to look for a plate, all the dishes were loaded in the dishwasher. This may be a safety precaution as housekeeping may run the dishwasher after each guest checks out. The chairs were worn and stained and there was a nightstand only on one side of the bed (very inconvenient) and no plug on the side with no nightstand. Overall, our stay wasn’t bad. The hotel is near restaurants and stores so the location is good. We would stay here again if ever in the area.

Not safe during the pandemic

Reviewed 23 october, 2020

We just returned from a 2 night stay, I really wanted to give this hotel a good review since staying when it first opened and liking it. Rooms are very comfortable, we loved a lot of things about it. But I don't feel comfortable recommending this hotel to anyone concerned about safety precautions during the pandemic; the room was very clean, housekeeping did a good job, but what's the point when people aren't wearing masks? I get it, I don't like wearing a mask either, no one likes it. But we are catching this from breathing on each other, shouldn't you keep your mask in your pocket and throw it on when you see guests? Compliments to the one person wearing one, the young woman who checked us in, and I believe she was the same person who helped me the next night at the front desk; when she saw me approach she put her mask on and even gloves to get me what I needed, she was perfect. Other than that, none of the other folks at the front desk or housekeeping were wearing them, and we ran into staff members both getting in and out of the elevator without them. Everyone was polite and said hello, but we'd way prefer they wear a mask and not breathe on us in a small area. Unfortunately, staff sets the example and very few guests were wearing masks, we ended up avoiding the lobby or using any amenities. Maybe when the pandemic passes, this will be a safer place to stay but I would not feel comfortable recommending it to anyone with underlying health issues. And that's too bad.

Misleading; I’m angry!

Reviewed 30 may, 2020

I chose this hotel for a stop over weekend stay SOLELY because of the massive website advertising of all the precautions and scientific cleaning etc in respect to COVID-19. We arrived to find the reception area with ZERO precautions for direct contact exposure. The front desk person that checked us in HAD NO MASK, handed us a pen to sign in that was just laying on the counter, obviously not sanitized, she touched our wallet etc without any thought of safe contact, or better yet no contact. I don’t trust ANYTHING they said about their safety measures and deeply regret my choosing this hotel. Kind of a bait and switch as there is no mention within the room stating measures taken or that anything was even sanitized. There are state mandates for businesses to be open and to not even have masks as direct contact to patrons is irresponsible. Thankfully we brought our own pillows and sanitizing agents or I’d have lost my mind. I’m half terrified right now and a long way from home.

Nice Place for extended stays or not

Reviewed 19 august, 2019

We were in GJ for peaches and hiking at Colorado National Monument. This place was in a central location that got us to Palisade, CNM, and downtown pretty easily. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator which is great to have and guests can wash there clothes in the community laundry. They have quality shampoo, conditioner and soap to use in the shower. We had a top floor room and it was very quiet and pleasant. The air conditioning and bathroom fan had minimal noise. We even added an extra night because it was so nice. Would definitely stay at one of these again. I would not have liked it had there been more dogs around but luckily we didn't have that problem when we stayed.
