Flight delayed

Reviewed 18 october, 2022

We were delayed at DFW and w're supposed to be comped a room here. On American Airlines end, we were failed miserably. But the young Indian man working the front desk was very helpful and patient with us and several others that were in our situation. The shift change was also helpful. The room was cleaner than many purportedly higher end chains we have stayed at. My only gripes are a lack of food availability within walking distance late at night, (several sit down restaurants though) and not very numerous outlets in the room, such that we had to unplug the TV to make coffee in the morning. Great free breakfast too!

Very Disappointed with this Hotel

Reviewed 4 october, 2022

Both my friend and I, who had another room, were appalled by the condition of the fake leather chair in our rooms. Nearly a third of the outer layer of the covering had been peeled off. This was very off-putting. My friend was also sure that pot had been smoked in her room from the smell in it.

Clean and safe

Reviewed 4 october, 2022

I needed a room just to get some sleep before my connecting flight at 5:00AM. The place was clean, reasonably price, and close to the airport. I would stay again if I were in the area. The service was good, as well.

Affordable

We had a Dr appt 9/12/22 so overnighted at this hotel. Good thing is I didn't see any bugs, that really makes me run cuz I don't want to bring them home! And from what I could see it was clean. It was quiet, located near a number of easy access restaurants and convenient to our Dr's location in the Baylor complex. We were treated professionally. There were no loud noises from neighbors or neighborhood. I felt very safe going in and out. Now for the downside. While I waited to check in 2 people came to the desk to say their key didn't work, mine worked that night but while loading the car in the morning it didn't. In all cases the desk quickly fixed the problem. 2 signs said the pool was closed. Didn't matter to us, but it would have mattered if I had kids. There wasn't lightening in the area, it had been plenty warm for swimming, so I'm guessing they just want to cut costs and not maintain the pool. There is a sign in the lobby that the hotel is independently owned, not owned by Super 8 so I'm guessing tight budget. I had called to reserve a room for us to accommodate my husband who uses a walker. I said I don't need to worry about shower access etc because we did that at home, I just need convenience to exit. I'd prefer 2 queens, they told me the handicap access room has one queen. I took it. The room was NOT near any door, he had to walk 1/2 way down the long hall. He doesn't complain much but he kept talking about how small the room was, the queen bed took much space, so he had to use the side furthest from the bathroom because his walker couldn't fit on the side nearest, which didn't have a night stand and no plug ins for charging. His side had a night stand and several outlets. But the TV worked! The 3 pillows on the bed were good enough. The bathroom was very large, I think a wheelchair could work in it, I didn't check the doorway size. There was a bathtub, which my husband wouldn't have been able to use, he needs a shower to walk into. But the tub had plenty of grab bars and a hand held spray. The toilet was the higher kind, and a grab bar was there. Breakfast in the morning consisted of waffle maker with butter and syrup. Yogurts. Orange and apple juice, and coffee. I took waffles to the room for my husband and the plates were so flimsy the syrup leaked through - what a mess. I'd stay here again due to the price, my husband said he will never stay there again.
