First, this hotel is in an amazing location and is just as picturesque in person as it looks online. Staff was all very nice and helpful. Check in and check out were easy. Parking is off site but wasn't a big deal to us. Room was good, ok size for the two of us except the bathroom was small for two people but we made due. The only small things would be the one pillow each, two would have been nice, and hubby thought the bed was a little hard for him. But it was a lovely place to stay and we would stay there again. I heard the river views are spectacular although we did not get one.
We did opt for the buffet breakfast which was excellent!
Great location, bit noisy

Brilliantly location in the town centre, which was a perfect place for exploring. Clean and well apportioned, with a good breakfast. The A/C wasn't great so had to have the window open, which isn't ideal given the location. Also didn't need a lecture from the night porter about how to wear a mask, but guess that's the world we live in now! Would stay here again.
Great view, terrible pillows

As other reviewers have said, this hotel is a little dated, but the view makes up for it.
Our only issue was the comfort of the beds. The bed itself is basic and a bit hard (fine), but the pillows were terrible. My husband and I both had neck aches (we’re in our late 20’s) and joked about going out and buying our own pillows for our remaining 2 nights.
Really everything about the hotel is fine, except for the comfort of the bed.
What a View

Heidleberg is simply charming and a spot worth taking an overnight or detour to. This hotel was clean, comfy beds, tremendous view, and very pleasant staff. It is located in the best possible place for strolling through the ancient, historic cobbled streets. Everything was perfection, including the pricing.
The best spot in Heidelberg

The location of this hotel is superb. Next to the Old Bridge with a view on the river. After my reservation the hotel sent several messages regarding my requests - two rooms river view. In the end we had two rooms each overlooking the bridge and river. Rooms are simple, yet comfortable. The hotel has an old charm and staff is very friendly. We did not try the breakfast so I cannot comment on that.
