Visiting Warner Bros Harry Potter Studios

Reviewed 25 september, 2022

This is second time we have stayed here to visit HP studios. Location is perfect, hotel is a little tired but clean and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast plentiful and lots of choice. Great that we could bring food back to room to tea and also microwave available. Loads of coffee/tea etc in room. They were also very obliging when I asked to change my booking from just me and son to also bring friends daughter and had lovely family room

AVOID!

Reviewed 16 september, 2022

AVOID! And if you must stay there make sure you're not in room 33. I can overlook the shabbyness and the dated furniture, bathroom etc as long as it is clean. The door lock took almost two minutes to wrestle to lock/unlock - if there was a fire, this is a death trap. The room had a window and outside was a REALLY bright security light that went off frequently in the night, the flimsy transparent blind was no match - really must get a blackout blind for this window. Sounded like the boiler was in the room - firing up every few minutes for the building. Music blasting out from breakfast room below from around 6:30 so no need for an alarm clock. Generous all you can eat breakfast, however the scrambled egg looked more like porridge and the sausages were made of rock - seemed like they had been recooked? Good bread (Hovis) for toasting. Booked for me by work, so not my choice - they have been given a more frank version of this review!

Business Trip for One

Reviewed 8 september, 2022

This hotel is really not great. Rooms are very basic and mine was not that clean, pubic hair in the bath and around the rim of the toilet. The main areas are very worn and found the hotel noisy at night. WiFi is terrible and tried working from my room but just couldn’t. On the plus plenty of parking and only 5 mins walk to town centre. Do yourself a favour, pay the extra and stay somewhere else. This is one of the worst I have stayed in

A quaint hotel that is full of potential.

A quaint hotel that is full of potential. Location is wonderful and a 10 minute walk into the town centre; big car park and friendly staff. We had a good nights sleep and the showers were lovely too. There was limited cooked breakfast options for vegetarians but it wasn’t a huge problem as there is many places to eat close by. Our rooms were lovely and clean with crisp white bedding and we had a nice stay overall.

Very disappointed with this hotel , the main areas were dirty and very worn . Bedrooms were disgusting and dirty , pillows were filthy, bathroom full of black mould and grime , cups had tea stains in them , stunk of cigarettes. No towels had to ask for them , they smelt horrible and musty. dirty marks on bedroom wall looked like faeces, toothpaste on the bathroom wall. The last pat test in our room was 2016 We spoke to staff the owner was very helpful got us new pillows and changed one of our rooms . The lady in charge of house keeping was rude and laughed at us . Couldn’t bring myself to eat breakfast , if it’s that dirty in the places you can see I dread to think how dirty it is in the places you can’t see .
