More about the hotel
Great place
Perfect location! Across the street from the grocery store made it super nice. Nice kitchenette with a good size fridge that holds everything you are traveling with in your cooler. Nice staff and very very clean!! Super comfy beds too! We will always stay here in the future
Still in new shape
The hotel is nice and clean. Room was in like-new condition still and everything worked just fine. Only complaint is that their parking lot has not been striped for parking spaces and people were parking all over the place. There were several Alaska government workers there in very large vehicles that were taking up at least two parking spaces at a time. These vehicles should have been parked in the area of the lot further away where they had spacing for "over-sized" units.
Great Hotel
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the new Aspen Hotel in Homer. It is in a convenient location close to stores, the visitors center and best of all walking paths to the beach!! The room was clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The front desk were very accommodating and friendly.
Convenient Hotel
Stayed here with my girlfriend and was happy to find they had a resident rate which honestly pulled me to ultimately select this hotel. The room never seemed to cool down. The room was spacey, had a fridge, stovetop, microwave, sink, misc dishes and silverware and the items required to clean them for those staying long term. Check out is 11 and the latest they’ll let you stay is 12. The hotel wasn’t busy and because I had a charter booked for our last day I got another night so my girlfriend could stay and not be stuck in a car all day. The front desk is closed from 11pm-6ish I say ish because I went down at 6 and it was under lock and key. I had to leave so I couldn’t extend my stay so my girlfriend called from our room to show she’s obviously supposed to be there and the woman told her I’d have to call otherwise she couldn’t leave the room or she’d be locked out. I obviously called heading out from the dock after my girlfriend warned me the front desk woman was extremely rude. Paula was her name and she told ME the person paying for the room I’d have to come to the front desk to extend it for which I told her that I can’t I’m on a boat. I told her my girlfriend will be coming down to get her key adjusted so she won’t be locked out. She started talking bad about my girlfriend and then was huffing and puffing when my girlfriend came down to get the room key updated. The customer service at this hotel is definitely lacking. Might stay again in the future.
Aspen Homer Hotel
Awesome hotel. Would definitely stay there again. Couple problems, they dont come in to clean until you check out. Plus i was annoying with another guest, thinking its ok for them to call me in my room telling me to keep the noise down when its way too early instead of calling the front desk. Other than that everything was good.
