Unusual Design Features
We needed a cheap place to stay in HK for a Visa run. At around £50 pn we decided Pravo would balance budget and needs. I can only describe the decor in reception as “seedy strip club”. It’s all dark, glittery and plush. The corridors are curved and winding like you’re in a maze. This means the shape of the rooms is very odd and furniture layout is neither logical or natural. I think someone thought they were making something unique but it left us confused. That said, the room was clean, the staff were reasonable and the mini bar was free. There was a local smart pad available to take out with you. Our double bed was a small queen size.

Dirty, smelly , gross, the entire place is disgusting. Staffs are rude and disrespectful. The whole building is old and it looks like a motel from a horror movie. The rooms look nothing like the ones in their promotional leaflets. The carpets and sofa look damp and moist with mysterious stains all over it. There are tissue paper shuffled behind the bed... The 4 star should be taken away from them, absolutely disgusting. They look and feel like a 2 star motel

Poor concierge service
I checked out from this hotel today, with anger. I have stayed more than 2 weeks in this hotel, with 95USD per night. This reservation was made in a couple months ago. After booked, I immediately called hotel and tried to extend an extra night with the same rate, but failed. They rejected. Therefore, I stayed in another hotel in TST (just for tonight). I have asked if I can come pick up my luggage tomorrow morning, since I have 3 large suitcases with 1 carryon. Too much hassle for me. They rejected. They said they will throw away all the overnight luggage. What the.....? Therefore, I called an uber to for transferring to new hotel which is less than 10 blocks away. The staff just stood and watched me to go and move the luggage out of hotel. As a so-called 4-star hotel, opening the front door or help loading the luggage is basic service. They did nothing. With the situation happening in Hong Kong right now, having a guest to stay in a hotel for 2 weeks with such rate is not easy. And you guys still treat your guest like jerk? Good luck with your business. Furthermore, I saw they are doing promotion that with the room rate they are offering right now (lower than I paid), the room will be upgraded to a big suite. What I got in the last 2 weeks is their smallest sized room. That's the way how they retain their customers.
I booked a Deluxe Suite for one night from 9-10 Oct. The size is not spacious but comfortable enough for one person. I love their bathroom amenities as they provide Chopard brand amenities. Nice and pleasant fragrance! (Note: only for suites!) They also offered complimentary minibar which comes with 6 can drinks (2 soft drinks, 2 beer and 2 juices). On top of that there’s also Nespresso coffee machine being placed in the room. I would say it’s worth the value! And for such a small boutique hotel, they also have a mini size gym room at 6th floor. Good location as it’s near to Harbour City- a huge shopping mall selling all sorts of branded goods.
