Dirty, Disgusting, Unkempt

I don’t see how this place is number 5 on the list of hotels. My only guess is people are confusing this and the other location. This hotel has NOT been renovated recently as someone stated in a previous review. As a matter of fact, the front desk supervisor (Elizabeth) stated they have been scheduled to have a remodel that’s been pushed back 2 years. The rooms here are disgusting! It was not clean. I wiped down everything after we checked in because there were fingerprints/debris from other guests. The room has several chips/nicks all over the walls/furniture. Management (Elizabeth) stated the reason for disrepair was they couldn’t get matching paint. I find that hard to believe. You can go to any hardware store and get paint matched. Also, if they truly cannot match it then they need to repaint, simple as that. The curtain above the air conditioner was covered in mold. Unacceptable! My daughter is allergic to mold. If it’s a maintenance issue it needs to be addressed, if not they need to replace the curtain. The last and most disgusting part of this room was the bathroom. When I checked in there was yellow liquid splashed on the inside of the toilet. I assumed it was pee! Maybe it’s their cleaner? I don’t know but it grossed me out. The shower drained extremely slowly. There is rust and mold in shower. The shower curtain they had in our room was too short thereby getting water all over the floor. There was a gross blood stain on wall. I pointed all of these issues out to management (Elizabeth) and she simply said they had a reno planned that hasn’t happened yet. It seems they don’t care about maintaining the current rooms until after their reno. I showed Elizabeth my pictures of the state of the room and she took a mere $25, which is better than the $15 she first offered before I showed her the pictures. Room was disgusting and dirty. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Won’t return, even after remodel.
Second night of a long bike trip.

Typical Comfort Inn, Clean room and a friendly staff. The air conditioner ran like a camp on this vey hot day too, This is what we have come to expect from Comfort Inn. We will stay here again if we get back to town.
stay here cheap and visit downtown Hot springs and a hot free breakfast!

This hotel is a few miles from downtown Hot Springs. You don't have to pay the big bucks to stay downtown HS. Hot springs has free public parking right downtown, which is awesome! Get there in the morning and you have free parking. For most of the hot springs places, and maybe all of them, they take reservations. However, it is hard to get them to pick up the phone or call you back when you try to make reservations ahead of time. I was trying to make reservations a week before my trip and no one returned my calls or emails at Buckstaff or Quapaw Baths. so I don't know how you make reservations ahead of time. Quapaw baths did have a walkin process. You have to get there before they open at 10 and the first 30 people are allowed to sign up for the public hot mineral baths which were awesome. You did have to get there before 9 and wait. We brought our books and got there at 0845 and waited and got in the first 15 actually. You can walk the paths around Hot springs and drive to the top to the tower and look over the city while staying cheap at this hotel.
Great visit to Hot Springs, Arkansas

This Comfort Inn greatly contributed to our wonderful visit to Hot Springs, Arkansas. We booked a king suite with jacuzzi tub in a bathroom, which was one spacious room with king bed, seating area, desk, dresser, all the usual Comfort Inn amenities, decent size bathroom with jacuzzi in it. Our room appeared to be renovated, bed and bedding were super comfortable and everything was in order and clean. Breakfast was a to go paper bag, which is not my kind of thing, so we skipped it. But since hotel was reasonably priced, we didn’t mind it. We found all the staff to be accommodating, nice and professional. Location was quiet, convenient and people nice.
