Good place to stay for Texas orthopedic patient and family

This room was awesome with a small but fully functional kitchen with dining table. My mom was having surgery at Texas orthopedic and I needed to be nearby. Only 2 minutes from the hospital by car. Rooms were in excellent shape, hotel lobby was very clean, breakfast area was will stocked but a little crowded for me. Parking garage is nice as well. Customer service was very good as well. I would definitely stay here again!!
Great for sports fans!

It’s Proximity to NRG stadium is a big plus for sports fans. We visited in June, so we didn’t catch a game, but looking out our window it seemed like a good autumn walk rather than fighting traffic would be ideal.
I rate hotels on several specific factors, so let!s go….
Bed: we had a King with sofa. Our daughter found the sofa bed to actually be comfortable. Our bed was firm, but good. No issues.
Room size: typical Residence Inn. Nice kitchen area, large enough living room.
Bath: higher end shower products, but how many men want lemon scented soaps?
Breakfast: again, just typical choices. Nothing bad, nothing that stood out EXCEPT for the waffle machine that cranked out waffles in the shape of Texas. A fun thing for kids and all who are young at heart.
Fitness: indoor pool. Surprisingly well equipped fitness room. 4 treadmills, two ellipticals, one of the multi-purpose weight machines, plus dumbbells. I just used the treadmill as the neighborhood didn’t seem suited for an outdoor run due to traffic.
Cleanliness: excellent, no issues.
Internet: the only minus and, to me it’s a big one. Connectivity was an issue and it was a pain connecting all our devices. Kept asking for a password even though there isn’t one. After dozens of tries the devices would finally connect correctly. Once online, speed was fine. Again, this was not just one device with an issue. 5 different devices.
Parking: garage behind the building.
Home Away From Home

My family has stayed here multiple times over the past couple of years while getting treatment at MD Anderson hospital. The rooms are large, well apportioned, and well maintained. The staff is always friendly, prompt, and professional. The location is convenient, and it has a shuttle that runs to the hospital. The breakfast is also top notch. The level of service at this hotel is comparable to that received at five star properties, but for a fraction of the cost. It is a great property.
Great choice when visiting MD Anderson medical center.

My wife and I recently stayed here. We found both the people and the property delightful.
Parking was safe and secure. The hallways, room, linens, and bedding were all fresh and clean. The front desk staff, including Assistant General Manager Freddy Cuellar, was without exception quite helpful and professional in every way.
The breakfast (categorized as grab-and-go) was a very pleasant surprise: a selection of hot food as well as cereal, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, and various bread and pastries. Much better than the usual pandemic breakfast fare !!
We will definitely be visiting again soon !!!

Overall great stay while having appointments at MD Anderson.
We have also stayed at the Hampton inn nearby. We had a 1 bedroom suite at the Hampton. So I will compare the 2 visits.
This hotel was a bit more expensive but worth it. It was much cleaner here and the breakfast even during Covid was much better. The kitchen and bathroom floors were cleaner. The sofa easy to wipe down as they were not fabric. The kitchen supplies were similar.
It would have been easy to walk to shopping and take out here and it was quicker to get to and from appointments.
As long as price does not become an issue we will use this hotel for future stays.
