We stayed here for one night and arriving in the evening were reminded quickly that evening traffic in Hull can be challenging. When we eventually reached the car park there were plenty of spaces, but it is very odd that the car park doesn’t have an entrance to the hotel. Instead you have to leave by the side gate and spend a couple of minutes walking around to the front of the building. Fine if it is dry and warm, but not much fun otherwise. Check-in was fine, but Diamond status was not recognised and then when we entered the room we were rather surprised to find it was already occupied, although it was probably more concerning for the occupant than us, but still annoying. That meant a trip back down to reception and requesting another room. Later over dinner with our friends who were also staying, when they asked if we received a Diamond welcome letter, which we had not. On returning to the hotel we asked about the letter and it was indeed there, waiting for us, but would have remained unclaimed had our friends not alerted us. Our room also had no bottles of water until we asked. This may have been down to our original room being given away in error, but who knows. We had been upgraded to a Superior room, which was a very good size and well laid out. There were a decent amount of sockets, with USB options as well. The bed was very large and comfortable. There were also dressing gowns, but no slippers that I could see. The bathroom was fine and we really liked the fixed Crabtree and Evelyn soaps - very pleasant fragrance and so good not to have to deal with small single-use bottles. (Much better for the environment as well.) The one let down in the bathroom was the shower head, which was surprisingly basic and didn’t direct fully downwards. That was disappointing. Also, as a side note, our room was on the 5th floor and there was a regular low-pitched humming with an occasional bang. It didn’t disturb us too much whilst in deep sleep, but it was apparent in the early morning. The Lexington Bar is a lovely space, with friendly staff, good cocktails, plenty of space to relax inside and a surprisingly decent sized outdoor terrace (although there’s not much view to speak of). It’s very different to LA’s (the nightclub that the hotel building replaced) but that was a different era! The breakfast offering was solid, but was nothing to get excited about. It had everything you needed and expected - a pretty usual DT experience in my opinion. Despite my mixed emotions over this stay, I would happily stay again but would be sure to ask about member benefits at check in and for a room that wasn’t on the top floor, plus double check that the room hadn’t already been given to someone else!

Have stayed here previously and it’s fine. Check in was quick and efficient, Emilia very helpful, polite and friendly. Chose to eat out, but returned to the bar which is very well stocked. Bar staff friendly and welcoming. Well placed for the train/bus station which is less than 200 metres away, and also for the main shopping centre which is mor3 than ample. Happy to return here next time in Hull.

The hotel car park is probably the worst car park you can get Long way from the hotel port to the elements no good lights and very expensive so useless really The room are amazing Perfect night sleep all so clean it’s perfect!!! Breakfast is all you ever need and fresh food all the time with very friendly staff I love this breakfast! I book the hotel last mints so did not get the free drinks and no room service (not sure why ) but front desk did great with looking after me so very very impressed Thanks

Excellent centrally located hotel. Super clean and well presented Very attentive staff who couldn’t do enough for you Only used the bar and had breakfast and both were clean and well stocked with plenty of choice for breakfast just a pity I was staying in relation to work !

Hotel accomodation was of the usual high standard expected from the Hilton brand. Let down as a gold member - only 1 complimentary drink (instead of the usual 2) No complimentary bottled water despite contacting reception - corporate penny pinching
