Updates Needed! Oh what is that smell?

Reviewed 20 november, 2022

Hospitality is one thing Texans should be proud of! Set yourself apart and make that 1st impression. Upon entering in the hotel neither of the 2 front desk/guest relations stood up and greeted/welcome us as guests. They stayed seated and just ask for the last name. (We were not the only guest that experienced this) They did not tell us the room number nor explain where the elevators were and what amenities they had to offer. Neither of the front desk had a uniform on nor a name tag to identify. Upon entering the room it was "oh what is that smell", to well this has been a very well worn room. From the chairs, couch, walls (damage and missing paint), missing drain plug, and more. Time for an overhaul for the rates they charge! Room was decently clean. AM breakfast was so/so, no gloves nor professional uniform (not sure if they were even an employee) was worn by the person handling the food. The PM they offered hot coco! Oh boy but well it was not hot, there was only 1 scoop to be used on the peppermint, marshmallows, and chocolate chips, which can be considered cross contact and possible cross contamination. Over I would say, so/so stay but will try another brand next year.

Decent hotel, could use some updating

Nice hotel in a good location! If you're in town for a funeral, it's super convent being across the parking lot to the funeral home to be able to come and go. Rooms are a little outdated and dark, but felt clean. AC works amazing and had a comfy bed. Really good hot breakfast buffet. My only complaint was it appears they used to have a hot tub but when we went into the pool area, it's been filled in by cement and permanently gone.

Tripping through Texas 2022

Selected this IHG property based on overall reviews and location. Stayed 3 days in a King suite and had absolutely no issues. East to find, close to pretty much everything in Huntsville, more than adequate lighted parking. The grounds were mowed and the property looked taken care of. Friendly front desk staff checked us in quickly and we were in our room within 10 minutes of arrival. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable and we had plenty of towels. We ate a hot breakfast every morning downstairs in a large clean area. There was hot and cold options as well coffee, juices and milk (no complaints). Electronic check out made the departure from the hotel about as easy as possible. If I’m in this area of Texas again, I would definitely stay here.

Way overbooked!!

Reviewed 10 april, 2021

Came in town for a Taekwondo tournament and booked 2 queen rooms. When we got in the rooms, there was only 1 king bed in each! According to the front desk expedia/hotels.com "overbooked" and began kicking out people who booked directly through the hotel. I was not the only one this happened too! One family of 5 got a king bed and no no roll out cots or sofas. Furthermore there was no hot breakfast (basic grab and go stuff) and the pool was completely closed (no sign up for an hour to swim). Super disappointed!!

1 towel in bathroom..., no chair for desk...no coffee with coffee pot...2 paper cups in room....mold very evident in bathroom & it smells......3 hangers in closet, one wouldn't hold clothing without falling down....paid reservation was not honored....we had to pay again & the Corp phone number took us to a full voice mail box....but the key card was great....lol...you have to laugh about it as it was so ridiculous.....construction workers stay here so I wouldn't suggest this hotel for women without male mates
