Best work hotel
Brilliant location for local work and train station to visit neighbouring towns, rooms are clean and tidy, the breakfast is prefect to start your day and the staff are very friendly the only down side is the gym..it’s very limited
Beware! This hotel charges $$ for early check in!
I have stayed here several times because the hotel is close to the company I work for. Otherwise this is an average hotel with small rooms. Now they have started charging 45 Euros for an early check in (I arrived at 11:15am, check in time is 3:00pm), which is about 50% of the daily room rate. In many years of business travel I have never experienced this. Hotels have usually been very happy to accomodate me if they had a room available, especially when I arrived tired from an international flight - as was the case today. So from now on I will avoid IBB and go back to the lovely hotel in Mainz that is happy to have me early without fee and where rooms are so much nicer.
Tidy business hotel
Stayed here on a business trip in Ingelheim. The hotel is easy walking distance to the train station and the centre of town where the majority of restaurants are located. Breakfast at the hotel is good. The rooms are clean and tidy and modern with the bed comfy at the end of a long day.
Youth hostel flair
The hotel is conveniently located in the modern part of town, just a few minutes away from the train station. The surrounding area is not very appealing, unless you came to enjoy Asian take-away and Kebap places. Upon arrival, the hotel makes you pay your entire stay upfront, which I find both uncommon and inappropriate: Instead of just a deposit they charge you the full amount, even though you have not yet caught a glimpse of anything. They may have their reasons though: Rooms are tiny, the safety box looks like it has seen the 1960s and doesn’t provide sufficient space for even just an iPad, TV would for no obvious reason turn off while watching, and there was neither soap nor shower gel in the bath room dispensers, and housekeeping wouldn’t bother to replinish either. If you wish to have a drink, forget mini-bars (cos they don’t exist), but there is a noisy fridge in the downstairs lobby offering beverages. Other than that, facilities are relatively limited: The gym is a joke, and there is literally nothing but a step machine and a few lousy weights. There is no hotel parking garage, but direct access thru the lobby to a public garage, which looks safe and is not too expensive. Breakfast? Nothing special, but fair enough (buffet of hot and cold dishes, all types of hot drinks, everything self-service).
Lovely hotel and very good value
Hotel feels light airy and open with a nice restaurant on the 4th floor which has quite nice views. Very handy for BI as it is a 10 min walk. Food in the restaurant was very nice, freshly prepared and very good value
