Great Staff, Undergoing Renovation
This was a great stop! Nicest Econo Lodge I've ever stayed at, and I have stayed at many of them. You will find this hotel over and above what you would expect. Front desk clerk was extremely helpful and knowledgeable regarding restaurants, etc. If you are in the area, stay here. You won't be upset!
Worst place I ever stay and then the charger me a extra 200 talking bout condition of room the room ceiling was pulling and leaking in to the tub the place was under construction the breakfast area they where cooking on with no ceiling at all didn’t eat there I called bout the extra charges they had charge me first person said I was smoking in the room it took the manager a whole day to return my call after calling twice and being put on hold both times she called hung up on first ring I called back she say the bed was wet and couldn’t be cleaned they had to trash the mattress I had to dispute the charges I will never ever stay in the econo very unprofessional and dirty place no worth the 124 dollars I give a 0 minus I should’ve took pictures
Room was an absolute horror show
The room was damp and musty with a moldy smell and did not match the picture advertised on the website. The ceiling was disgusting along with the fitted sheet having some foreign substance on it. And a nice spider on the wall that greeted us to boot. The check in staff was nice and the location is nice and quiet. Other than that, it was a less than pleasant experience.
Very popular for this price range. Nice but with minor issues.
The rooms are clean, comfortable, and ample with a microwave an fridge. The breakfast was the typical waffle buffet. Food, but nothing special. 6 out of 10, but the price is right. My biggest complaint is that the breakfast dining area was hot and crowded. They need mote tables spread out into the other room because it was packed, granted at 7:30 is the peak time I'm guessing. It was a little noisier on the parking lot side of he building so if noise bothers you ask for the other side. Easy to get to the hotel, once you figure it out and lots of parking. Good wiFi. Lots of good restaurants within a 5 minute drive, but nothing really walkable. Pool table room and a pool additionally. Pet friendly and overall a pleasant stay.
Stars for Only One Reason
This hotel gets four stars but only because of the price. I hope the owner reads this. Some simple TLC would lift this business up to a standard of quality that would not bring down the Choice Hotels’ name. Some time ago (2016), this location was apparently awarded a prestigious recognition, as the banner stretched across the sign at the edge of the parking lot boasts. So it must have been doing well back then. Something hasn’t happened since that time. There’s stuff falling off walls: the head board, shower curtain rod, towel rack. (See the photos.) There’s black mold under the soap tray in the shower wall. The room’s window screen was torn, and the frame no longer fits in its place. (See the photo.) Cleaning staff is apparently not trained to vacuum into corners. The owners didn’t spend much on AC units, or they didn’t get what they paid for. The unit in our room was unable to offer constant fan while in cooling mode. If you don’t like it turning on and off while you try to sleep, you have to turn off the AC and just get warmer and warmer during the night. Beware if you don’t like the smell of cigarettes. This hotel allows smoking on the third floor, which could be fine with proper ventilation. Stale smoke odors were in the stair wells and onto the second floor. I know they say “You get what you pay for,” and I’ll grant the price looked great on the internet, but that’s how far greatness goes. Just because you don’t charge much doesn’t have to mean you let things fall apart without repairing or when repairing, do it without regard to the hotel chain’s name. Visiting here, people are not going to think of this chain as their first choice.
