Extremely poor service and car alarm going off throughout the night
Reviewed 20 July, 2021
We have been staying in Marriott hotels for decades and have always been pleased. In fact, we’ve stayed at this Fairfield location many times in the past and had a great experience. Unfortunately, we were told it’s now under new management, perhaps new ownership, and it showed.
A car alarm was continually going off throughout the entire night and nothing was done about it. We literally got no sleep at all before heading to an event the next day, which was the reason for the trip. Even worse, the hotel refused to remedy the situation. Another hotel manager said they have simply had the car towed when that happened at their hotel, but this Fairfield Inn refused to do that.
We were also told they could call the police to find out who’s van it was based on the license plate, but they did not do that either. We called the non- emergency line ourselves and they said an officer would go out, but we’re not sure if that occurred.
Instead of apologizing in the morning when we checked out, we got a very uncaring staff with an attitude. The manager/ owner later said he would not reimburse us for our stay. We were and are obviously unhappy about paying a hotel money while getting no sleep at all, and to top it off, they did not care one bit.
We stayed somewhere close by the next night since we’d had such a bad experience here. We were very pleased with the other hotel. We will never stay here again and will have to let people know of the bad experience we had while there when asked about our stay.
This whole situation was handled horribly!!

Space is a nice size, especially if you get a studio suite. Renovations have been completed apparently, not to style/furnishings/room updates, but maybe the building as been updated since it appears some designer thought it would be a "nice touch" to place leaf applications in the wkndows. Apparently as a result of the renovations, the ac unit in the room leaks and leaves the floor considerably wet. The front desk attendant (female who conveniently didn't share her name, 5/31/2021, 9:20am) offered points as compensation. The manager wasn't available, let's see if I truly am able to speak with him "when he comes in later today". Let's talk about the fact that if you knew this room was messed up, why put a guest in there? Or if you knew someone was in the room, why have maintenance disturb the guest early in the morning to "check it out"? A lack of professionalism, a lack effective professional communication and a lack of sincere customer service would sum it up nicely. Meh, at best.
Great Place to Stay

Strategically located between Dallas and Fort Worth with no charge for parking. Would stay here again if we visit again as it's nice, clean, with friendly staff and logistically located in a great place. Lot of Indian restaurants nearby as well.
COVID era breakfast is a grab and go bag with a muffin, Jimmy Dean sausage thing, juice (actually apple/orange juice, not concentrate) and a Chobani yogurt.
Not a great stay

TLDR: Changed rooms after dirty sheets/comforter and wet carpet to a new room that also had wet carpet. Overall this hotel is not up to what I consider Marriott Fairfield standards.
I seldom write a bad review unless customer service was horrible or if ownership treated me unfairly and neither was the case here but I feel like I need to make this review so this hotel can receive some needed criticism.
Overall this hotel is not what I would expect from a Fairfield property. It is what I would expect from a Comfort Inn or worse. It’s an older looking hotel that hasn’t been updated in a while, which doesn’t bother me at all.
I checked in later in the evening and asked if there were any upgrades available (Platinum Elite member) and the young lady behind the desk politely upgraded me to one king suite. The hotel looks older. Pieces of furniture blatantly broken in the lobby. The paint was sloppily thrown on the trim and walls the last time they were painted. There is paint spatter on the TV and the TV stand area in my room. I don’t ever notice this stuff but it was so obvious it was hard to ignore. The whole hotel was humid and muggy with a faint, funky smell. No biggie. All I really care about is a clean room. The price was pretty good on this room considering I booked through the Bonvoy app.
I checked into the room and I pull back the sheets to notice that the comforter is dirty. It looks like dirt, not a stain but actual dirt or mud (at least I hope it was dirt or mud). I just drove for 11 hours straight and I’m contemplating whether or not to let this slide because I’m that tired and then I step over to the other side of the bed next to the AC (whose panel is completely broken) and the floor is sopping wet. I hate wet socks.
So I get a new room, move everything over and the floor in the new room is also sopping wet in the same area. I’m too tired to change rooms again. There’s no alarm clock in this room though so I have to ask if I can get one from the old room. The TV in the living room doesn’t work. Both rooms had only decaf coffee (what’s up with that?) and the dead bolt doesn’t work.
Every hotel regardless of brand is different when it comes to breakfast during the pandemic but this one is the worst that I’ve had during the past year. They put out to go bags which include a previously frozen sausage biscuit, muffin, yogurt, orange and orange juice. No plates or anything so if you want to eat your previously frozen sausage biscuit warmed up you take it to your room and put it in a napkin to heat it up.
Every day during me three day stay, my key card would stop working. I saw other guests with the same problem. The digital key system wasn’t working either they said.
So overall, the price was decent but this was not what I expected from a Fairfield.
Solid location, clean and top notch staff.

Outstanding property. Clean, comfortable and one of my favorite things here, the water pressure in the shower is really great. Easy to get to from the airport and easy to get anywhere from this location quickly.
