Sultan Arife Hotel is nearby to Sultanahmet metro and most of the the touristic spot like Blue mosque, Topkapi Palace and Hagoa Sophia! Only about 10 mins walk able to reach There are nearby shops and restaurant nearby this hotel too! About 15 to 20 mins walk can reach to Grand bazaar if you wish to shop for souvenir and more. A lovely hotel with very courteous and helpful Mr Ahmet who always be there for our needs and questions. Am happy with the stay and breakfast provided! Recommended for those planning to stay around Sultanahmet area!
Good but Small
This hotel has everything: good location in Sultanahmet, excellent service at the reception, modern elevator, refrigerator in the room that actually cools things, big laptop sized safe, good heat, good hot water pressure in shower, spotlessly clean room, but...everything is TINY! The bathroom is very small, think airline bathroom with a shower; the breakfast is small, and this is a shame because in Istanbul, breakfasts are the best; the room is small, two people cannot literally walk in the room at the same time. If you want a nice place to sleep, this is it; if you want to spend more time in your room, forget it.
SUPER SWEET SULTAN!!!!
First of all, it was easy to arrange for a shuttle to pick me up from the airport via booking.com. The cost is reasonable, considering it was later at night I finally got there, due to a long delay of my flight. The gentleman who met me was/is very funny. Quite the the jokester. Kinda like me. 😁 The room was super nice and clean and modern. The toilet actually worked well, which was a very nice change after trekking in Nepal for a month. The bed and pillow were very comfortable. I absolutely LOVED the breakfast, with cherry juice and orange juice, cheese unique to Turkey, sausage for crackers and a lot of other super healthy options in relation to making salads. LOVED the cherry juice. The location is great!!! It is near everything you might want to see on the European side: Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Basilica Cistern, Theodosius Cistern, Theodosius Obelisk, the serpent column, taken from the Roman Hippodrome and brought to the Hippodrome in Constantinople, now Istanbul, as I’m sure most of you are aware. It’s about a twenty minute walk to the beautiful Süleymaniye mosque (nicer in my opinion than the Blue mosque). Maybe a ten to fifteen minute walk to the dock for the Bosporus River cruise port. Istanbul has some of the oldest buildings in the world, a totally worthwhile city to spend a few days in. Incredible history here!!! In conclusion, due to the super nice hotel, with a super friendly working staff, reasonable prices and great location, I recommend this hotel to anyone. You can’t go wrong here. Thanks for reading. Excellent Location with helpful Staff: Stayed 7 days (11/14 to 11/21 2018)
Stayed 7 days during 11/14 to 11/21 2018. Wonderful hotel with kind and accommodating staff. Mehmet and his team (Reception and Cleaning staff) went out of their ways to ensure my stay was comfortable. Treated like family and not just a generic guest. Rooms were quiet, cleaned frequently with excellent Wi-fi connection and even a convenient refrigerator. Fresh delicious breakfast with great selection. Excellent location within minutes to Sultanhamet, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar and other attractions. Was only a 2-3 minute walk to 2 Tram stations (Sultanhamet and Cemberlitas), which made getting around extremely helpful, but most places can be easily covered within a few minutes on foot. Many restaurants and markets to buy food nearby (helpful if you are on a budget or get tired of restaurant food.) Extremely safe location as the surrounding venues are open late (even a McDonalds) and many people are around. Also multiple ATMs from reliable banks nearby (well-lit at night too), which was reassuring. Highly recommend A+++ and hope to stay again soon one day!
