Extremely Unclean Amid Covid
I stayed at this Residence Inn 6/11/20 & found it extremely unsatisfactory. Our room was not cleaned well, especially considering the Covid pandemic. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher, we found an open, half eaten snack cake on the desk chair, the dressing mirror was dirty & smudged, the bathroom floor had hair & grass on it, & the bathroom shelves were dirty & dusty. When my husband mentioned all this to the manager, his response was that due to Covid he only had 2 housekeepers working. While I'm sympathetic to the difficult circumstances Covid is causing, if this hotel cannot keep its rooms clean & protect their customers' safety, they should not be open.
Not up to par during COVID era!
I am a very loyal Marriott customer. When I needed a last minute hotel room because my condo was not going to have power for the night, I immediately went to my Bonvoy app. I don’t usually write bad reviews, but this hotel was very disappointing in this COVID era. It was not very clean. The microwave had a used paper towel in it and the handle and keypad were dirty. There were crumbs all over the counter by and under the toaster. The refrigerator door was dirty. The bathroom mirror was dirty. The couch had a white powder on it and the lamp in the living room was stained. The sheets appeared to be clean. The rest of the bathroom seemed ok. Since I had already unpacked and changed into my pajamas, I just cleaned the room myself. I will still stay at Marriott properties, but I will not stay here again.
Alexis F. surpassed my expectations
As someone in the hospitality industry, I hold a bit higher expectation for customer service but also have a higher tolerance for error. we came across some small maintenance issues in our room, and i let alexis f. at the front desk know for the next guests, she was quick to make note of it and handled it with poise and a smile! she was so sweet and professional. I really appreciate employees like her!
Very nice hotel, close to everything!
We stayed at Residence Inn Feb 14-17, 2020. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. We were upgraded from a one bedroom to a two bedroom. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable (especially the beds!!). Having a kitchen was great! It even had a fireplace though we didn't use it. All 3 rooms had big flat-screen tvs. A nice touch is the complimentary breakfast. Included eggs, sausage, fruit, yogurt, waffles, cereal, drinks, bagels, pastries ... Another great thing is the hotel's central location. Just a few minutes from St. John's Town Center and Univ. of North Fla. Not far from downtown or the beaches. We definitely recommend this hotel and will stay again when we go back to Jacksonville.
“Allergy Free and Friendly”
Our room was upgraded to a one bedroom pure wellness suite. The room had an air purifier in the sitting area as well as a waterfall purifier in the shower. It was so inviting I purposely stayed in the shower a little longer than usual. The kitchen had a full refrigerator and range top for cooking. This property was in a prime location as there is a major shopping area just minutes away and a plethora of restaurants. Jacksonville beach is the closest to this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
