Good hotel
I stayed at this Residence Inn for one night January 9-10 using my points. At first I thought it was a little sketchy from the looks of these two guys smoking cigarettes standing out front but I went to check in, the lobby was clean and so was the room. I had a 1-king bed room. Everything was clean, smelled good, looked very updated, and the bed was good too. The shower had a nice body wash in there. The kitchenette was a plus. They have all stainless steel Whirlpool appliances. Not sure if I would stay here again since there’s so many options in Jacksonville however my experience was good and everything worked out fine and it was clean!
Very Enjoyable Stay
Overall, we were pleased with this property and would not hesitate to recommend to fellow travelers. Our daughter lives on Bartram Park Blvd so we will definitely come back again. The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted our travels but we still have more than a dozen stays since the beginning. One of the most confusing components is each property has their own set of protocols to keep employees and guests safe. In the case of The Residence Inn Jacksonville/South there was no daily maid service unless requested. We were able to have fresh towels delivered to the room. My only complaint was the limited time for the free breakfast. On Saturday I had an early tee time and left the hotel at 6:45 am but there was no breakfast until 7:00am and I believe it ended at 9:00 am. The social cocktails hour has been discontinued. Despite some signs of aging, the property was very clean and comfortable. Our king bed was also very comfortable, the pillows and sheets were fresh and of good quality. All staff members we encountered were courteous and polite. Having a Publix and numerous restaurant choices within walking distance or a short drive was convenient.
Amazing!!
We stayed here for a week while we were waiting to close on our house. We cannot say enough about the rooms and staff, especially chaila who was so welcoming and accommodating everyday!!! The amenities were also very nice and very clean, especially with Covid going on. Rooms were spacious, bathrooms were super nice too
Great hotel
We visited this hotel today during covid. We were very pleased at the precautions the hotel had in place. The room was clean and well appointed. We ate in the room and it was well equipped. Good kitchen with full size fridge, 2 burner cook top. It has a nice bar area for eating, a desk for working, and a sectional for watching TV. Our room had a pretty view of a lake with a pond.
Super Recommended
We stayed at this hotel the weekend of 10/3rd with our soccer team and the place was welcoming, sparkly cleaned and the building up to date. But the best was the front desk girls, specially Chaila she was great! Chaila helped us set up dinner for one of our teams facilitating the area and helping with anything needed. Thank you so much for going above and beyond! our boys had a great time! Hopefully we will be back soon 😃
